BK, I agree with Elmore (for once). Don't let it get your goat.

I agree.

I am awaiting the results of some standard tests.

But they shouldn't make those kinds of calls. What if it was someone who had bad news recently?

Listening to the other half of the new Kritzerland CD - sounds really good - one of those 1960s wide stereo sound recordings that I'm so partial to.

Since I seem to have annoyed a few people last week with my over-enthusiastic reminder to DR Elmore about BURN NOTICE, I'll simply say:

DR Elmore, please don't forget about BURN NOTICE tonight!

Really?  I thought it was funny.

I thought DR Matt H was joking about all the teasing.  Am I correct Matt H?  If not I'm sorry I laughed at your post.

Nothing to be worried about. But what about when they call someone who just had bad news?

I think it is in extremely bad taste for funeral homes to call people who are awaiting medical test results asking them if they would like to make their funeral plans.

ROTFLOL!

EXCELLENT VIBES FOR THE TEST RESULTS!

They would probably use a different funeral home.;)

DR Elmore,
I will not be attending this Ray Court's Show, unfortunatley, but I do have plans of attending the show in April.

Banned from LA again?

Did those nursing homes for old actors send the governor another petition?

TODAY IN THEATRE HISTORY...

Nothing terribly interesting happened but to perhaps tie in to the rather strange GUYS & DOLLS billboard pic that DR Jose posted last night...CRAIG'S WIFE opened on this date in 1947 at the Playhouse Theatre.

Of further interest, the interior and exterior of Playhouse Theatre are seen in the original THE PRODUCERS movie.  It was demollished in 1969.

Today in Non-Theatre History...

It's Abraham Lincoln's birthday...exactly 200 years ago today.  Also, the NAACP was founded in 1909...exactly 100 years ago today. :)

I'm trying to lift myself out of this momentary funk by dancing the Lambada (The Forbidden Dance) - so far, it's not working.  Of course, it's difficult to do the Lambada (The Forbidden Dance) when listening to the incidental music from Rashomon.

Well, I must now leave and go downtown to usher for a new play, Israel Horovitz's "Sins of the Mother," put on by Harlequin Productions.  Here's what it says on Harlequin's website:

Quote
We're thrilled to be working with world-renowned playwright Israel Horovitz on his new play before it opens in New York. When a young man returns to the small fishing town he grew up in, he is drawn into a mystery that threatens to reveal his own past. A powerful and compelling drama about revenge, forgiveness, and the comically human struggle to decipher which is which.

This sounds very good!

The image of a gazelle in tights and tutu just flashed across my weary brow.

And kabuki makeup.

This crap still goes on - I am now being told by the person (I think you can guess who it is, but if you can't, it's the person who was posting here earlier) that not only did the person who's PM he sent me have some unkind things to say about me, but apparently he's received several e-mails defending him and dissing me.  I think you all know me well enough that I grow weary of this crap and, as has been the case several times in the past, it just makes me want to shut the site down.  I'm really quite upset by all this childishness, frankly.  I'm going to eat now and decide what I want to do.

Mr. Rothman has a very strange way of trying to get converts to his new blog.  He apparently believes that we will go running from this site to his, if he insults us by referring to us as groupies.

What Mr. Rothman doesn't grasp is that we do not gather here, day in and day out, hour after hour; because we are groupies, crazed fans, or fanatics of any kind.  We gather here at HHW because we are friends.  We are friends with BK and we are friends with each other.  And even when we squabble with each other, we never attempt to tear down or destroy each other.

I guess some lessons just can't be learned.

Now listening to the Death of a Salesman half of the CD and despite the less than optimal sound - WAY less - the music is wonderful.
