They really could end this show by seven o'clock if they wanted to just keep giving out awards one after the other.

THE DUCHESS was not a surprise winner in the category.

For cutting back on expenses in a time of recession, you'd think there would be less in the way of set changes rather than more

(don't touch my moustache)

Or the coat.     ;)

If you say "don't touch my moustache" very fast, that's basically how you would say, "You're welcome" in Japanese: DO ITASHIMASHITE

Why is she wearing that frigging belt with that dress?

I thought that when I first saw it. Not needed.

I think the "settings" are a wonderful touch.

You have to remember that Oscars are telecast for the regular people, not those with industry ties, or propensities to bitch about all awards shows.

Why are they DOING this?  One after another, with the same presenters???  Oh, Lord, never EVER let Bill Condon near this ceremony again.

I think "Inside Daisy Clover" ought to take ALL THE REST of the Oscars.

The "settings" in MY opinion are inane for just about anyone.  What's the POINT?  It's a bloody awards show, not a Shields and Yarnell special.

The presenters are not landing many of their scripted "jokes" so far.  But they don't have much to work with.

I guess this year they're not doing a stats announcement as the winners go on stage.

I think they look great.  When they come knocking at your door to produce the show, you can do it the way you think it should be done.
