Worst Oscars ever.  That's all I have to say.

It doesn't come anywhere near being as bad as the Letterman-hosted Oscarcast, IMO.

I agree.

Let's see what I've eaten today - a small container of Chinese chicken salad.  A small container of lobster salad.  A VERY tiny amount of potato salad (someone had come in and bought ALL the righteous red potato salad about fifteen minutes before I got there - there was about two ounces left.  One piece of rye bread.  Triple chocolate mousse.  I guess that's all okay.

They're trying something different. Some of it has worked. Some hasn't. But I admire the effort. They could have done the same old show.

As for this year's Oscar ceremony being "young and hip", and wanting to draw in a larger audience, and a younger audience..

Then why did they keep the presenters and performers a secret before tonight?!?!?

So the rest of us would still watch.

That broadcast was strange... to say the least

Where is ELMORE?  Wasn't he with us last year?  Did he say he wouldn't be here?  He is going to be bitch-slapped from here to eternity and hell and back and so is Ben.

But they could do it in an hour and half and we could see everyone - and get to bed earlier.

I hate to say it but I think that may have been my only shot. If a damned film about dolphins with music by Sting hadn't been in the competition...

But, I'm not bitter...

This Oscarcast is quite schizophrenic.  IMHO.  Looks fabulous, however, in glorious Hi-Def.

That's because a lot of filmmaking today is headache inducing.
