The memoriam montage is always so varied in quality. I bet it will be good this year...

A lot of remarkable people have died this past year

Here's an in-between shirts gratuitous post.

I'm ironing the weekend's wash now.

"I'll Be Seeing You"  is one of my favorite songs of all time -- top three, at least.

I wish they'd stop moving the camera around, it's making me dizzy

It's up there with "Moon River" in my favorites, too.

I dont have cable and have to rely on antennas. I get rather good reception despite the building not having an antenna

Why are they so far away from the screen on so many people?  Shame on them.  You couldn't even see it was Cyd Charisse.  And this crowd doesn't even know who half these people are.  Where was the applause for Robert Mulligan, Kon Ichikawa, David Watkin.

If you are getting dizzy, think of the camera operator

Manny Farber is big, Ricardo Montalban you can't see.  Jules Dassin is Topkapi, not Never On Sunday or, heaven forbid, any of his classic noirs for Fox.

Well... They had to show off Queen Latifah's dress.  :-\

The camera work on this is awful.  You can't see half the names.

The camera was WAY too busy during that tribute. I found that very distracting.

Nice---although it was hard to read the ones that were far off camera.

That was just not good.  All names should have been readable and easy to see.

It was January 22, 2008, but it was before the last Oscar show. They showed him last year.

Four more awards in fifteen minutes.  It FEELS like I've been watching for four hours, though.

What does this new Mac Book do that others don't - other than the eight-hour battery, which is, of course, appealing.
