It was fun reading the posts tonight. My computer had trouble keeping up, but I was here!

Good night.

No, Sean Penn didn't thank Harvey Milk, at least not that I remember

I'm certain that the Memorial sequence worked quite well in the hall with all of the LCD screens, but, here on the home screen, it did not.

Someone had to explain to me what Ben Stiller was doing. I thought it was very unfunny.

I thought thanking her was the other last thing he was going to say, but forgot. He said one last thing...well two last things..but I thought he only said one.

If this makes any sense, you are as tired as I am

I'm wondering if he said his best friend's name - a.k.a. his wife - in Japanese?

;)

-And, yes, I'm Googling away.

Did Sean Penn even thank Harvey Milk?

That is a good question

Turns out they had an Oscar party at one of our local theaters, with red carpet and all.  It was on the big screen.  That memorial montage would have made me REALLY dizzy

I liked the surprise of Sean Penn.  I was pulling for Frank Langella; but fearfully expected the Academy with go with the redemption sentiment and give to Mickey Rourke.  But Penn was my second choice after Langella.  Would've liked to have seen Michael Shannon get best supporting over Ledger.

My big question of the night:  Where was Jack?  I figgered Nicholson, usually in the front row with shades, would finally appear as one of the five best actor winners, especially when they showed him in the clips, but nope.  So I ask, where was Jack?

According to wikipedia.... (not certain of its accuracy)

states that Sean and Robin were divorcing and they ended proceedings in 2008

He was spoofing Joaquin Phoenix who recently appeared on David Letterman like that and proved to be a rather difficult and disconnected interview.

her character was changed a few times.

He didn't thank her at the SAGS either. I think there is an arrangement between them. I know there has been strained relationship there for awhile.

It was the Joaquin Phoenix parody. But that didn't make it funny.

I once held Burle Ives Oscar. I found on the floor in one of the rooms in the Billy Rose Collection at the NYPL. It was being used as a door stop!

No one at the library knew why it was there.
