Silly Ann...  If it's British, then it's humour! :D

Ha!  That's nothing!  I'm still recovering from last weekend when I straightened out my underwear drawer.

And how is it, exactly, that your underwear drawer got bent?

And you know this because . . . .

I don't know really what's going on with Larry King and his fascination with the late Rock Hudson because a few months ago, he had several other people on the show in a panel (Tony Randall was one of them) who swore up and down that Rock Hudson really liked the ladies and that men were not his primary sexual interest.

Well, Rock was bisaexual:  he liked men and boys

Oh, for pity's sake!

Tony Randall, closeted as he is, seeks validation for his own self-denial.  "Love, Sidney" was never a stretch or bold move.  It was severe type casting.

Rock Hudson was gay.  He was as gay as gay can be.  He had women friends, but no sexual interest in them.

This has been reported by more folks who knew him, who slept with him, who worked with him.  Newspaper reporters knew, all of Hollywood knew.

Let there be no confusion over this issue.

He also never had a blood transfusion or used needles to shoot drugs (as Brad Davis' beard assured the world is how her husband acquired HIV).

He died of AIDS and he was reluctant, at first, for that news to get out because he knew it would cost him work.  When he was finally too sick to ever work, he resisted, before yielding, because he was afraid "people would know he was gay."

Why can't people accept it and move on?

I am, also, curious, about Larry King's motives for rewriting Rock's life story.  It is ironic, I was watching the rebroadcast of one of Billy Graham's Crusades last night on television (Yes, President Bush, I am a Christian), and during his sermon he talked about one time, he was visiting an old friend --an actor, a superstar, who had hidden his homsexuality from the world, but who, at that time, was dying from AIDS.  He didn't say it was Rock Hudson, but from his description it appeared to be who he was talking about.  Funny that Billy Graham thought Rock was gay, but Larry King has his doubts

Thanks Panni. (from Magnus). He is named after "Sir" Magnus Pimm - a character in John Le Carré's "A Perfect Spy".

RLP - have a martini.

Because I adore you all, I actually shipped out all the US orders just a few moments ago.  My back is now completely out of whack but the books are on their way.  The overseas orders are packaged and will go out first thing in the morning.

I was about to begin reading the BIOGRAPHY OF JOHN ADAMS.  Since it is a very large book I will hold off until the long awaited book arrives.   :)

Bruce, hope your back feels better soon.

Whoops. Miscalculation. Magnus Is 9 on March 21st. Fosca (his half sister) was 9 on March 2nd.
At least I have not started baking the cake.

I came to California, touring in a show with Martha Raye, an hoary vehicle called EVERYBODY LOVES OPAL.  Rock Hudson came to see the show one night with his current live-in, Tom somebody (a long term relationship, I believe).  Hudson was a very nice man... or seemed so, the short time he visited with Martha and her cast.

Well folks, today was my day.  Yes, it must have been put on the calendar someplace that today, March 12, 2004 is the day of Danise.   I had a wonderful day.

I was able to get my Michael Ball tickets today so that entire trip is bought and paid for.  I have wonderful seats.  I was dancing in the aisle at work today.

Then  I had to go to the doctor.  According to her scale, I have lost 18 lbs!  AND (and you say?)  AND because I have lost so much weight,  I don’t have to take any more meds for my BP or my cholesterol for at least 8 weeks!  She wants the drugs out of my system to see if my weight loss is doing the trick naturally.

Bad/good news.  I do have arthritis in my right hand.  Good news, it isn’t RA.  The tech read my X-ray when she called me.  She wasn’t looking at the blood test that showed I do NOT have RA.  YAY!

Then I come home and find BK has sent the books out—Yay!  Can’t wait to read it!

Then I see this:

DR Danise congrats on the ring!
This is for you, as well as boomeranging back to a previous post of mine:

She Wears My Ring
(Words & music by Boudleaux & Felice Bryant)
She wears my ring to show the world that she belongs to me
She wears my ring to show the world she's mine eternally
With loving care I placed it on her finger
To show my love for all the world to see

This tiny ring is a token of tender emotion
An endless pool of love that's as deep as the ocean
She swears to wear it with eternal devotion
That's why I sing, because she wears my ring

She swears to wear it with eternal devotion
That's why I sing, because she wears my ring

This tiny ring is a token of tender emotion
An endless pool of love that's as deep as the ocean
She swears to wear it with eternal devotion
That's why I sing, because she wears my ring
That's why I sing, because she wears my ring.
Oh my gosh that’s so lovely.   I think people forget what the wedding  ring stands for.  I must say I’ve thought the wedding vows of today should read,  ….for better or worse, for richer or poorer OR UNTIL SOMETHING BETTER COMES ALONG……   So many of my friends who married are getting divorced now.

Happy B-day to Magnus!  Many Many more.  B & B send their best!

Yes,  folks, today was MY day!

TCB has another interest of which I was unaware. Not that I should know everything of course.
Should I now refer to him as TVB?

I work up this morning and no isp connection. Got home from work and still no service. Called them ISP (adelphia) and told them that this is not exceptable. They couldn't figure out what was the problem. They said they would arrange for a tech to come out. Again I told them I did not want to wait a week for them to come as Saturday was the only day I was available. I told them that if they did not get a tech to my house tomorrow that I was discontinuing my service. I called bell south to see what they had to offer. It was $10 more. I was tempted to take, but a couple of hours later I was surprised to see it up and running. I guess my threat of leaving worked.
