Off to meet Becky at Panera at Bridgewater Falls, a shopping center that was built where there was

NO bridge
NO water
NO falls

Ah, urban sprawl...

Bye for now!

Good morning!

It's still gray here, but at least it's light gray now and not the dark gray of the last three days. Maybe some blue sky will break through later. I'd like to see some.

As you see, there are no NBC shows in the On TV Tonight!™  line-up. NBC's programs are all reruns tonight. It's sweeps month and NBC is showing reruns? Has the network simply given up completely trying to compete with the other networks?

I mentioned last night, but today's work project is the movie version of THE ODD COUPLE. Not having watched it in years, I'm eager to see it again, and I do have the last (only) DVD issue of it, so it'll be interesting to compare the transfers.

In the passing curious department, why is it that none of these people who email me offering me untold riches are able to spell?

Favorite talk show was THE TOMORROW SHOW. Tom always asked provocative and interesting questions, and it was never dull. I also though Jack Paar was a wonderful interviewer.

Now, I'm going to tend to a few things in the office and then head down to check the mail and get started on lunch.

DF&H is now home from the hospital. He is doing very well and has resumed his position of Chief Dog Walker. I am now the official Deputy.

TOD;
I've never been a fan of talk shows, but as a child--maybe 10 years old--I used to watch the Pamela Mason Show regularly. I'm not sure what it was about it that appealed to me, but clearly something did.

I concur with DR Woody about letting interviewees answer the questions. I find it quite annoying when they do not.

Did Bandit go crazy when he walked in the house?

DF&H thought that Bandit may have forgotten him and would start barking as he came into the house, but that didn't happen. I told Bandit before I left for the hospital that I'd be picking him up. Dogs understand such things. Bandit was very pleased to see his master.

And even worse are the Sunday morning political talking head shows where you get four or five people yelling all at once and no one is heard.   :(

What lovelier than lovely notes!!!

MR BK and DR DRUXY both appeared on the Merv Griffin Show.  I probably saw them......all those years ago.

WOW!  Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards in the audience......wow!!!

So many talk show hosts and shows.....I enjoy one now and then if I am interested in the guest....but not often.  It seems that it's all promotion promotion promotion.....

And yes, DR MS - the Mike Douglas Show changed its tone when it moved from Philadelphia to LA...and Mike became a BIG STAR!!!!!!!!   His staff also routinely spelled words incorrectly on their bumper boards.....Join Us Tommorrow!

I can't stand those shows.  Since I've been in Florida I've seen more mainstream TV than usual. I never knew there were so many gorgeous people, but so much contention. Apparently that sells. I can't understand it.
