And it looks like Mr. Chip Hand is still around, and working as a voice over artist.

For those that have been enjoying bk's "insider's take" on The Business called Show, here is another perspective:  Peter Filichia takes us inside the recording studio.

What's wrong in this sentence from the article??

“I was excited when David Merrick came to see it,” says Maltby, “but he had Bert Bacharach with him, and I later realized they were there to hear Jonathan’s work to see if he’d be right for Promises, Promises.” (Tunick certainly was.)

Wouldn't it be cool if he were making a living as a hand model?    :)

So.....from the past:

Merv Griffin - he was the best.....he could talk to anybody, and he asked good questions....really enjoyed his interviews with Lucille Ball, Carroll Baker, and of course Jack Douglas and his wife Reiko.
...these were separate shows, of course.  And when he had his BROADWAY or MOVIE opening shows, I always loved the songs and clothes....and hearing about being ONSTAGE or opening a big movie!  The MAME movie Merv Griffin Show made the movie look like the greatest thing EVER!!!  And Lucy was so excited to see the clips!  He also did a wonderful CABARET movie show....and the reaction to the title number was so great....he showed it twice.  Petula Clark also showed a clip from GOODBYE MR CHIPS and opined with Merv that the movie hadn't done much of anything....but that it was a lovely score.....

Now I remember Pet actually saying she hated the score on Merv's show, with the exception of You & I.  Hmmm......

I suppose I should think about the long jog and then DO the long jog.  It's pretty out, so maybe in fifteen minutes or so.

Nick's coming over at one.  And I have to go to the UPS Store because my big online dealer wants all his boxes shipped three-day UPS on his account - that's a lot of boxes.  Normally he does them ground and I pre fill out all the forms, but I don't know what forms are used for three-day, so I want to find out.

Good morning. I am about to walk Mae-Ling to school this morning, since Mr. Goldstein has to go rent a car today.

And how is Mr. Goldstein?  Was Mrs. Goldstein with them?

Mr. Goldstein has marks where the airbag hit him, but he is ok. The girls' mother (who is not Mrs. Goldstein) was not with them, as she is not allowed to be around them (although she frequently shows up).

Knowing UPS, probably the "three-day" forms.          8)

From S.W.W.:
Quote
I can only imagine how many towels it takes to get him dry!

Only 6 or 7 because we have a professional dog dryer which basically blows the water off of his fur.  Poor Sherlock, now that he is nice and clean I don't want to take him on the muddy trails today and I'm not.

The last two nights he has been exceptionally cuddly.  This morning I was very happy when Keith got out of bed so I could get up & flip Sherlock over.  If Keith hadn't gotten up when he did I would have ended up on the floor. ;D

But the girl there showed me the Vitamin E caplets. ANd said if you prick a pin in them them you can get the gel out. And if you rub it on your would it is the same as the oil. So i did that. It is very interesting to see what is in those caplets!

I should have mentioned that is what I do.

DR jane at my library you cannot hold something that at the library. You can only reserve it if someone else has it.

I don't know about that.  So far the books showed some of the copies were checked out & that seems to be enough.  This is only my second time doing it so I will have to wait to see if it works again.

This morning when we walked to school, Mae-Ling was clutching the stuffed rabbit the fireman gave her after the accident.

Oh.  ???  So it is Mr Goldstein raising the girls on his own.  He must be truly grateful to have you as a neighbor.

Awww.  That was very nice of the fireman.  It sounds rather traumatic.

On the old facebook I would get a notice on the news thread when someone "friended" one of my facebook friends. That no longer happens. Is the feature no longer available?
