Topic of the Day:  No question...The Carol Burnett Show.  Like Johnny Carson for talk shows, she had the best variety show.

I'm not trying to be rude or insensitive but you couldn't get me on a pair of skis for a million dollars!!! Even with a helmet

I've never skied in my life and after this latest accident I have negative desire to do so. Sonny Bono, Michael Kennedy, my sister (she didn't die but the first time she was on skis she fell and broke her leg).

Although we are not in danger of closing my office has released a memo detailing our financial suffering. They have made some decisions about cost cutting including no more magazines. When the subscription runs out they won't renew. They have stopped having flowers at the front desk. No more refreshments for any meeting including those with outside clients. No travel unless it's absolutely necessary. No hardware upgrades (as my computer begins to die). The possibility of not printing some of our long standing publications and turning them into downloadable PDF files. They have furloughed our temps. We have a group of long term temp employees, some have been here for 12 or 13 years and they all must take 2 months off without pay. This won't be happening to full time permanent employees but it's still scary.

There is a Q & A session this afternoon which I assume will be fully attended.

It's 5:30 and I'm all alone. I'm listening to BBC World News on WNYC.

In a week and a day I will be leaving New York to go to Wisconsin to see my husband!

DR SAM - we used Mona-Vie now ant then.  I have some friends who give it to me as a gift.  It is a nice tasting concoction and it does increase energy and help with weight loss when used in connection with diet and exercise.  It IS expensive.  Do they not offer a TRIAL bottle rather than buying FOUR to begin with?

The Judy Garland Show - which I only got to see if Bonanza was preempted or was a rerun.

Even though David Pevsner wasn't in Whoop-De-Doo they mentioned it yesterday in Donald's interview and I pulled it out to listen to it. I can't listen to When Pigs Fly (David was in Pigs) because Anthony has it with him in Wisconsin.

And if you have a good deal of time on your hands, you can read all about it, and its director Arthur Laurents, HERE.  Not as detailed as the new book DR elmore3003 mentioned, but also shorter.  A little bit.
