Wonder how DR JOSE is doing in Little Old Ladyland this evening?

Alas, I had the wrong "Ensemble Number" in my head earlier.  Instead of being in "Little Old Ladyland", I was in "Old Bavaria". Im Frühling!

I'll dig up some photos later. I haven't taken any in a while.

Good! Something to anticipate!

Some weeks ago, I was visiting my mother in the South West of France, and as I was entering her living room, oblivious of my mother who was busy checking her bank account, THERE was a black cat sitting on the chair next to my mother's, as if he belonged to the place!!

We're familiar with this cat who's very snoopy but doesn't like to be petted! He had entered through the window of my mother's bedroom.

He's ALL black with darker black stripes running the length of his body.

He IS a cool cat!

I tell you!

He was sitting there like so much ... fish ... for a cat! :)

And may I just add, a propos of nothing, Edmundo Ros is da bomb, baby.

Yeah! AND when Caterina Valente sings with that band ... it's da doble bomb!! Boum Boum!

(NO "wine steward" here; crummy 3 star hotel; no bar, no restaurant, but crazy François at the desk all night long!)

Edmundo and band are currently tearing through a famous tune by a close personal friend of BK's.  And it's not Stephen Sondheim.

I'm not sure if this has been as well publicized in the US as it has in Canada.

But starting in June everyone will need a passport to cross the border even by land.

Yep, it's been publicized.  It also affects anyone taking a cruise to the Bahamas or Virgin Islands.  The U.S. Passport office has started issuing "passport cards" for anyone who would prefer the convenience of carrying a card in their wallet instead of their actual passport when traveling to and from Canada.

Back from my bookselling stint - 2 hours cashiering and 2 hours straightening and restocking tables.  When we sort the books, we put extras from each category in boxes under the tables and, by the time Richard and I left at 2pm, we had the floor space almost cleared.  That means we've sold a lot of books in the last couple of days.  It will pick up in about 15 minutes, when the half-price sale begins, and again tomorrow when, all day, customers buy a brown grocery bag (remember those?) for $5 and fill it.

We actually had people have the nerve to ask today if they could put books aside and come back for them during the sale periods.  Come on, the most expensive items were recent hardcovers at $3!
We have one of those sales here   Supposedly it has become one of the biggest in the country.    It used to be book people; now there are lines of people waiting to get in hoping to find that original Picasso or Signed first edition of Dickens.  You know how it is.

Here's the final version of the Nudie art for the reading - I had him add more of a smile and the wink - didn't like both her eyes closed - now it's saucy.

I dunno, BK.  Now it kinda sorta looks like she's trying to take off a false eyelash or something.  (Hey, she's taken off most everything else!)

WHOA!

The washing machine here is labeled "Heavy Duty", and I guess it is.  I just took the clothes out to put them into the dryer, and they felt like they were almost spun dry.  -And it sounded like it too!

Which is a surprisingly good combination!

It's got sort of a 40's quality to it, but I always liked the original design  -- was it by Pearsall (however you spell it)?  I know he is no longer with us, but he was a talented man.

Okay, now I am just being picky; but I think she would look better winking with the left eye, instead of the right (and maybe not scratching her ass with her hand).

Indeed it is.  And not-so-surprisingly rich one.

I dined at Locklears which is basically around the corner from the rehearsal studio.  It was a good meal.  They call themselves a "Fine Seafood" place, but it's more like a "Very Good Seafood" place - at least according to the menu choices and decor.  However, since they called themselves a "Fine Seafood" place, they call their "Shrimp'n'Grits", "Rockville Shrimps And Hominy".  ;)  But, again, it was a very good and filling meal.

Back from the family room where we watched Michigan lose and Purdue win.  They both got what they deserved.

"Scratching her ass with her hand" ... cracks (Oops!) me up! So to speak!! ;)

Me thinks her left arm should circle the title, holding a top hat!

I don't know: this looks more like drapes on a window than theater curtains!

Maybe it's BK's neighbor showing her ass-ets through her living room window.

 They're so strange in California"!

Purdue has not "perdu" then;

Purdue has "gagné"!

Pas de gain pour Michigan!
