That might be a good idea for you, Mr. No Tweets.

elmore, interestingly, I don't believe MGM owns the MGM Records catalog - if memory serves, those are owned by Polygram.

Good morning!

More gray (though a bit brighter) and a bit warmer today, too, so maybe if the rain can hold off until I get back from my noon errands, it will be a pleasant day.

This has been a calm day tax-flow-wise, but this weekend promises to be frantic.

BK, do you know who owns the Roulette catalog?  I would love to see SHOW GIRL with Carol Channing on CD someday.

I spent the morning finishing THIS WOMAN IS DANGEROUS. Joan Crawford hated this movie, and it isn't one of her best ones, it's true, but I've always liked it. I think this is the film where she really started showing her age. Maybe that's why she didn't much care for it.

Roulette, I believe, was with Universal but may now be with Warner Bros./Rhino.  It's like roulette, these endless sales of catalogs - it's almost impossible to know where these things end up.  I'm trying to find out who owns Project 3 now.

With everything blooming right now, I am very lucky to have just a few things that really bother my allergies.  The wind was blowing all day yesterday and was pretty gusty by the afternoon.  It finally died down in the middle of the night-- probably about the time of DRLaura's earlier post.

Earlier in the week I watched HUMORESQUE for the first time.  Very strange movie--Crawford is incredible in some scenes but in others it's as if the director is just indulging her patented schtick.

And I wonder if they hired the same contortionist musician to play violin for John Garfield in this picture as they did for Cary Grant playing the harp in THE BISHOP'S WIFE?

Interesting notes, Bruce.  I wonder if you'll ever change your mind about the show and go back it yourself.

Friday morning greetings!  Richard and I are off in separate directions today, doing errands.  This evening we're going to a fish fry and then home to watch more basketball - Michigan State is my only favorite still standing.

I read the results in the newspaper this morning and will look forward to watching their performances this afternoon. I forgot to include that as part of my Friday Media Check, but I did record the men's final last night off Oxygen. And I assume NBC will be showing  it in high def on Sunday afternoon, but I haven't skipped ahead on my cable guide to make sure.

TOD:

Lots of Cheyenne episodes on the DVR as well as a 1952 movie titled THE PACE THAT THRILLS.

On DVD I have more ROOM 222 and THAT GIRL...a great combo!
