I've watched THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW YORK, and I'm going to bed.

Next, I watched GOODBYE, MY FANCY with Joan Crawford, Robert Young, and Frank Lovejoy. I've always had a soft spot for this movie, not just because of Joan Crawford but I also love Eve Arden in it (in Shirley Booth's Tony-winning role).

The Warner Archive encoding is just like the one for THIS WOMAN IS DANGEROUS. Sharp with a nice looking black and white picture, but there are plenty of age related specks and the reel change markers are there. There was also one moment when the disc faltered momentarily, a little skip. I didn't check the disc to see if there was something on the disc or if that was just an encoding error. Otherwise, it looked fine.

After that, I watched tonight's NCIS. A pretty good case through when Abby is the focal point of an episode, those usually don't prove to be favorites. It was a pretty good mystery with a surprise villain that I should have figured out but didn't.

I enjoyed a good bit of THE MENTALIST, but it was a very easy case to figure out.

My biggest problem was the confession on the movie set in front of all of those people. That didn't ring true AT ALL.

Next, I watched AMERICAN IDOL. Well, I watched as much of IDOL as my DVR recorded which, sad to say, wasn't enough to see Adam Lambert's performance because the show ran way over. So I didn't see him at all.

Every year that they use the theme of singing a song from your birth year, it never turns out to be a good show. Tonight was no different. I thought they overpraised Danny (I heard several bum notes and honestly thought at one point that he must have been ill to be so off). Lil was the worst she's been; she's totally lost any momentum she had originally. My favorites were Allison and Matt of the singers I saw tonight. Maybe I will try to see if I can catch Adam's performance on-line.

Next, I watched FLASHPOPINT from last Friday night. It was a fairly heartbreaking story of friendship gone off the tracks. I had a lump in my throat at the end of the episode.

I concluded my evening with today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Yep, the boys were on, but I didn't find their story all that interesting. It's obvious what Damien is up to, and Zack and Zoe have already worn out their welcome for me. Nothing in the previews.

Good Evening!

Well... I guess I had to have a bad rehearsal sometime...  :-\

And before I actually go home, some friends have gone on vacation and asked if I would feed their pets.  I said that I would and I did last night (after they called asking how their pets were...Ooops!)  Anyway, I didn't forget tonight and they're coming home tomorrow.

Until later!

Easy enough to do without a reminder, and one of the reasons when we travel we have pet sitters who stay at the house & with our pets being their main focus.

It's also one of the reasons I pay a cat sitter. That and Callie's need for meds

Oh...

And, yes, the CV joint on the front axel was about to give out.  Our "Max" said that it would be OK until tomorrow, that I could drive it home, but just to be safe, we went ahead and dropped it off as his shop after tonight's rehearsal, and the stage manager drove me back to the apartment.  -And will be picking me up tomorrow morning.

So, tomorrow, I will either get the car back, or the theatre will be renting a car for me for the rest of my stay here in Charleston.

Does anyone know who was left from the original cast?

Isn't that mentioned in the article?  I thought it was.

I think I'm finished with my viewing for the evening.  I'll write the notes soon, but for now I think I'll do some prep work for the next Kritzerland release.

Well I could post that I just wrote my review of the BD of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS, but that wouldn't amount to much of a posting, would it?

I watched tonight's episode of "Fringe" (at 9:00 pm) and one of the guests was an actor named Erik Palladino.  I'd seen him in shows over the years, but I recall that I'd seen him on "Reaper" just last month.  And then I started watching tonight's episode of "Cupid" (that started at 10:00 pm) and he was on that, also!  He's the guest on two different shows on the same night.  I looked up his IMDb listing and he was also on "Private Practice" just a couple of months ago.

Four guest spots in two months...he's getting around. ;)

JMK, did your opinion differ from MattH's?  I've been buying the odd Blu-Ray disc and I suspect I'll be getting a player sooner than later.

Well, my friends said that they'd call me yesterday to remind me and they didn't until later in the evening, but they were only going to be gone a few days, so it wasn't that necessary for me to stay at their place.  They will be back tomorrow.  But I did forget to write myself a note.

Listening to what will be the next Kritzerland release.  I'm actually quite fond of it, although I'd never heard it before the opportunity came up to do it.

I've slipped into a bad habit of taking a nap when I get home.  Then I get up, watch TV, do some stuff, and now it's late again.

This is not how my evenings should be.

The guy that lives next to me (the good side of the building) works on the lot at Sony Pictures (old MGM lot ?) and goes to sleep at 8:30PM.  Leaves before the sun comes up.  So I try to be quite.

Cast album or movie soundtrack? :)
