Maundy Thursday services went well last night.  We then had a full rehearsal for Easter morning, so I got home well past my normal bed time.

I don't have to sing any services today, but I do have to work.

Yeah new GHOST WHISPERER tonight.

Although because of the sedar last night i have not yet seen SURVIVOR. Or for that matter LOST.
:(

My aunt brought something interesting i've never tried before (to the sedar). Chocolate covered matzah. It was very interesting!

I have the dvd: Rachel Getting Married.

Ann Hathaway is very good in it.

The film reminded me of Robert Altman in his prime

GEORGE M! also opened today in 1968.

It starred Joel Grey, Bernadette Peters, Jerry Dodge, Jill O'Hara, Loni Ackerman, Gene Castle, Harvey Evans, John Mineo, Scot(ty) Salmon, Alan Weeks, Jonelle Allen, Janie Sell and Jamie Donnelly.

And a good friend of ours (Anthony and me) made her Broadway debut in that show (at the Palace Theatre), Miss Karin Baker, lovely wife of the dear Mr. Greg Kayne.

Well, weird dreams about the upcoming Nudie Musical reading for one.  The usual not being prepared show business dream, but I'm setting casting dates today, getting the score demo to the guy who's doing the lead sheet takedowns, and booking the MD.

booking the MD

Many Music Directors deserve to be handcuffed, finger-printed, and booked.

If you know what I mean.        ;)

I saw it and thought at the time that Bernadette Peters was unusual but it didn't surprise me when she started appearing in lots of things on stage and making occasional TV appearances.

Good morning!

It's starting to cloud up, so we may indeed get that rain they're promising. Very pleasant outside otherwise.

You were right about RENO 911! beginning its season last Wednesday. I meant to mention that yesterday. Thanks for the update.

I know I would buy Sean and Kevin's act on DVD were it to be made available. I hope if necessary, some arms will be twisted.

I began twisting said arms a few weeks ago, and I think it will happen.  The decision is really CD vs. DVD, but the audio simply isn't good enough to stand on its own without the visuals.  For this show, Vinnie wasn't there doing his own recording, so what we had to work with, while absolutely fine for the DVD is not optimal for sound sans image.

And personally, I'd really prefer seeing and hearing the entire show as opposed to just hearing it. Felt the same way about Elaine Stritch and Bea Arthur's CDs of their acts. Much preferred seeing rather than just hearing them.

The plumber has repaired the bathroom leak and gone. While he was working, I proofread the new Babes libretto and its annotations. I'm now off to Toyland for a meeting, and I must rememebr to post my IRS estimated tax payment while I am out.  I'm tired; getting up at 6:30 this morning was not fun.

I agree with you, DR MattH.

Did anyone besides me watch KROD MANDOON last night? I kept laughing at it and thinking how DR MBarnum would take it seriously.

bk, I know it's not Ask bk day, but do you know why it is seemingly so difficult to synch picture and sound?  I've often seen this "dis-synchronicity" on video and even on broadcast television, and if there's even the slightest delay one from the other, it drives me to utter distraction!   :P   [ quiet, DR elmore3003! ;) ]

I'm going to hop off-line now to get cleaned up earlier than usual for my usual Friday errands. I'm having to go to the post office today to mail some things (including my federal tax return), and I have no idea how long the line will be. It's impossible to predict.
