Well, I auditioned on Monday for "Romeo and Juliet" and I got the e-mail notice to come to the call-backs tonight!  We'll see how it goes. :)

Back from the 90-minute grant proposal workshop, which actually lasted 3+ hours.  It was very worthwhile, though, and I made the right decision to skip another meeting to attend this one.

Vibes for the sister-in-law of Jim, the roommate of DR Jose.  Good progress report - hope the next one's even better!

My afternoon with John Vogel and Kim Criswell has been a lot of fun. I met Kim at 82nd and Broadway and we taxied to the Cole Porter Trust for an hour-long meeting with Roberta Staats. After that the three of us taxied back up to Artie's for lunch. Conductor Kevin Farrell, who looks a great deal like Damien Lewis, I've decided, joined us and I always enjoy visiting with him. He's a wonderful conductor and he always makes me laugh. He and his wife are expecting their first child and that's very exciting. Miss Kim, as always, makes me laugh a lot.

So, I'm home and tv has been tied up all afternoon with the investiture at St Patrick's for the new archbishop in charge of the New York diocese. Since I'm not Catholic, i really don't care much, but I am missing JUDGE JUDY because of it, dammit!

Good Afternoon!

Greetings once again from the pit of the Sottile Theatre.  -Where, I believe, I've finished my notes and tweaks for the afternoon.  -Of course, I'll probably have a few more things to take care of over the next day or two, but for the most part, all the "hard work" is done.  Yeah! ;)

This should be of interest to a couple of DRs...

One of the latest posts on the Sondheim listserv posted a link to the podcasts on iTunes from "Creative Screenwriting Magazine".  From the listing, it looks like there are some very cool interviews and interviewees.

Just go to the iTunes store and search for "Creative Screenwriting Magazine" or the following link should take you there (if you already have iTunes)*:

http://snipurl.com/fyljw

*And if you don't have iTunes, remember, it is a free program, and there are a ton of free podcasts available for your listening and educational pleasure.  Just download it from apple.com.

Not quite as warm as that sunshine would have one believe. Still, the fresh air was nice for a few minutes.

I watched Monday night's HEROES while I ate lunch. Nice to see Diana Scarwid still acting. She was very effective as long lost sister Alice. A touching episode, I thought. I really enjoyed it, and I loved Peter and Nathan inching their way back to brotherhood.

Then I watched four more episodes of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. I was disappointed I didn't any more than that watched. I still have a long way to go.

Among the guest stars in episodes I watched today: Kevin McCarthy, William Windom, Ed Flanders, Alex Rocco (much younger and a hunk!), Steve Forrest looking really good, too.

I had time to skim through about 15 minutes of today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. The boys are on, so I'll be finishing it when I go back down. Then, it'll be more MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.

Hopefully tonight will go smoothly....I don't have much to do, and that is all right.  I am used to being more in charge or at least having SOMETHING to do besides stand around.....so maybe I will find something that has to be done.

Pay what you will Night vibes for DR JOSE and his merry group.

And now I am off to rehearsal.

My question for ASK BK day - which review have you received for your SHOW BIZ work that was the most accurate and/or illuminating?

Did you ever receive a review that made you re-think how you did something?

Oh DerBrucer, your bout with Poison Ivy sounds horrific.  Bryan & I had a couple of terrible bouts with it when we lived in Pennsylvania.  Like you they were during the summer with the temps & humidity numbers in the high nineties.

I really need a nap.

I did not sleep well, tossing and turning all night. My throat was not feeling good. But it seems to have improved a lot today. Still itchy. But not much pain when i swallow. Right now almost none.

I was trying to decide this morning whether to go to the doctor. Or to try to make an appointment. IT is free, so that is not the issue. And it's close (although hard to get through on the phone). The only issue is that i've had sore throats before. And they rarely do anything. Except make you take a test for strepe throat (which does cost). And then they make you wait to a get the results.

I've never had strepe throat. And they normally do not give antibiotics for a sore throat. My mom thought it would probably pass from my throat to my nose and head. I think it is doing that.

And i've been doing all the other things the doctor probably would have said (gargling, drinking...).

Hopefully i will be able to sleep tonight.

Oh but the reason i am exhausted is because i make dinner for my niece on wednesday nights. But i still did not want to go over there.

I tried to make the simplest thing i could think of that would be suitable for Passover. So i decided if i baked chicken legs that would be easy. But between that, boiling and sauteeing potatoes and steaming brocolli I am completely exhausted. It's hard to believe something so little could tire me out!
