I did skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Stupid doesn't do this foolishness justice.

I got home just in time to see the psycho-twin knock Lily unconscious and escape. I 'm still chuckling over the violence, and the endless inanity of the rest of the episode.

Going to write for just a bit and then head back down to watch THE EARLY LIFE OF CATHERINE THE GREAT. Then, onward with prime time TV.

I did see Marilyn Cooper in Woman of the Year. I thought she was the best thing in the show. I saw  a matinee and thought that star Lauren Bacall was walking through the show. Perhaps saving her energy for the evening performance. The book and the score won a Tony award but it was a weak year in both catagories. I felt it won by default.

But Cooper was the best thing.

Here is a link to most of her scene in Woman Of The Year

and a link to a guest appearance on Alice where she sang It;s All In Game

Michael, your links don't work.  Try these:

For "Alice":

For Woman of the Year:

Cool!  Does this mean that you'll be reviewing it?  It isn't going to be released until August 4th!

I spent the day at UCLA Medical Center. DF&H#2 has a nasty rash that is getting really horrible, so I drove him over there to see the doctor. I must be the Houseguest from Hell. While in Florida, DF&H#1, who's NEVER sick, got sick and ended up in the ER. Now DF&H#2 is ailing. Maybe JRand has an explanation; I don't! :(  ???

While in Westwood we took in Falafel King. My fave falafel is still Aladdin's, which Jose, I'm sure, knows well. I do still love Aladdin's.

The store is holding a job fair tomorrow and on Saturday.

I mention it mainly because it was at such a job fair, four years ago, that I joined the Super Giant workforce.

I'm not suggesting that DR DAW come down and apply for a job... for one thing, the commute would be really rough.  Sorry.

The store manager has predicted that tomorrow is going to be a mob scene, however, what with the usual seekers for summer employment and the surge of people that have been hit by the economy.

Cilla you sure are having a productive day :)

Yes. I am very tired now.  It got up to 92 degrees here today so I'm glad I got an early start.  Tomorrow will be hot again and then Saturday's high will be 52 and rainy. That will be a shocker

Just had to share.
