Then I put ijn X-MEN: THE LAST STAND on Blu-ray. The third film in the trilogy is defnitely the weakest one. Some lame wisecracks sprinkled throughout the movie and these huge, loud action set pieces that aren't always that involving. Done more as a comic book on film than the other two which seemed to put these fantastical beings in real-world situations.

I then began sampling the two commentaries that are on this disc. I didn't much care for Brett Ratner's commentary with two writers, but the producers' commentary was very informative.

Fortunately I didn't break anything.  Are you ambidextrous now?

Somewhat - I can sweep with either hand and use hand-tools adequately with both hands. I still write right-hand only.

And I completed my viewing with tonight's BROTHERS & SISTERS.

Oh, what Ryan and Holly! Snakes in the grass! Good performance from Matthew Rhys tonight.

Thank you, DR der Brucer, for providing us with that nice summary of the Streisand TV special. I appreciate it.

My pleasure. I expected not to like it - imagine my surprise.

I started a Lelouch movie I'd never seen, and, as always, I got completely hooked by it, but then had to have a telephonic conversation (and a nice one) that just lasted about forty minutes.  Now I'm off to Gelson's for a snack of some sort, then I may watch another half-hour of the movie (it's quite long and I'll have to finish it tomorrow night), then I have to do some prep work on the next Kritzerland soundtrack release - I think I mentioned I'm doing something a little different - I want to do one presentation of the score that's somewhat close to film order, then have the LP order, too - so, two completely different presentations of exactly the same music.  I think that's a fun way to go, but it really depends on how hard it is - I have to pull apart a couple of four-minute tracks that are comprised of several edited-together cues so that I can put everything where it belongs.  I've already noted where that stuff occurs and as long as my mastering guy can do it, it shouldn't be too hard.

I did absolutely nothing but watch TV and eat.  I didn't leave my house once. :D

I just remembered I have a 20 movie DVD from 1925 to 1956.  Before censorship.  The Wild and the Wicked, Test Tube Babies, Terror of Tiny Town, Ten Nights in a Barroom, Slaves In Bondage, She Shoulda Said No, Sex Madness, The Road to Ruin, Mad Youth, Joyless Street, etc.,

With today's posts maybe it's time to take off the plastic wrap and watch them.

I only left the house once, to get food I can eat at work tomarrow.   Strawberries, bananas, oatmeal breakfast cookies (really really soft) and water.

During highschool, Dana Point was always one of the summer places to go.  Along with Malibu, Zuma, Moonstone Beach, can't remember the rest now.

Well... I'm back from the party, and I stayed a bit longer than I planned.  But that was a good thing.  People brought various foodstuffs, and they even fired up the grill for some burgers, turkey burgers, Boca burgers and hotdogs.  Oh, and "Beer Pong"! -I only observed.

Lots of smiles, lots of hugs, no tears.  Although, I suspect that when I'm dropped off at the airport by my stage manager, well... We'll see.
