Good morning, all! In another hour I am off to the Met for the dress rehearsal of Rossini's LA CENERENTOLA. I hope it's good, because if it ain't funny, this version of Cinderella is tedious to endure.

I have little else to report; I just ordered HOUSE OF FLOWERS frm the Kritzerland site, paid my eBay invoices, and I have a bit of work to accomplish before I walk down to Lincoln Center.

DRvixmom, speaking of Shakespeare, whose death anniversary we all missed last week, I do believe the vixter and you would enjoy this musical based on A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM:

Wednesday morning greetings!  It's a dreary day here in SW Ohio, perfect for staying home and continuing the big furniture switcheroo that we started on Monday.

*And someday I would still like to mount a small camera right above the piano's music rack, sort of like an audition-cam, but it would only be aimed at my face.. and my reactions.. and my "reactions". ;)

Time for a walk to the Met. I've paid my bills, ordered what I need, and I even have a date to the concert at the Library of Congress on May 5. So far, it's a great day!

Good morning!

Sunny but more overcast today and thankfully a little cooler, too, with highs in the high 70s instead of the 80s as it had been for the last week. It's a very pleaswant morning thus far.

Thanks, once again, to all of you wonderful friends who took the time and interest to offer your expressions of sympathy and love (and virtual hugs) over the loss of my beloved, Angel.  I can't begin to explain how much it means to me.  Knowing in your head that this day will eventually arrive still never manages to prepare your heart for the grief that you feel.

Hearing from all of you is such a comfort.  My life is much fuller and richer because of the family that I have here at HHW.  Thank you, BK, for offering us this place to share our similarities and our differences.  On behalf of Nicky and myself (and Angel), thank you all.

Looks like my work project today will indeed be John Huston's WISE BLOOD, the next Criterion release. BRIDE WARS on Blu-ray was shipped yesterday (the day it streeted) and isn't scheduled to get here until tomorrow at the earliest. That the ETA for the other Fox Blu-rays I'm to be getting.

Once they arrive, it'll be full speed ahead on getting them all done since they're all past due date.

Every time I attend an audition around here, I expect (and am almost never wrong) to hear "On My Own." I have heard that LES MIZ song so much it just makes me burst into laughter within the first few notes. "All That Jazz" gets used by a lot of ladies, too.

Didn't BK write an audition song for one of the young women here at one time?

When you lose things, they usually turn up in the dishwasher.

Why isn't the Vixter's birthday on the calendar???  In any case, a big, fat haineshisway.com birthday cheer for the Vixter - at SIXTEEN.  As Mr. Pogue would say, "Be afraid, be very afraid." :)

I missed my grandmother's funeral because of a performance at LACC in The Man Who Came To Dinner.  If you've read the Kritzer books you probably know that I would have missed the funeral even if I hadn't had a performance.  Actually, it may have been my grandfather now that I think of it - in fact, it had to be because my grandmother outlived my mother by a year, I think - who remembers anymore.
