We finally watched NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN last night.  Wow!  My Ask BK/DR question:  what did you make of the ending?

Listening to INSIDE DAISY CLOVER.  One of the cues has a snippet that sounds exactly like the Theme to MCHALE'S NAVY.  I kid you not.

DS Betsy thought I was playing Cirque du Soleil music when IDC started this morning.  The scary thing is, I can hear that, too.  ;)

I had my first vocal run through with PRODUCERS cast members last night--Roger and Carmen.  We kept it quite gay (so to speak) and had a gay old time.  But straight (in my instance).  ;)

My question for BK:

Would you ever consider producing and directing another film, one of your own creation?

And if so, would you ever remake or create a sequel to one of your previous films?

Guess I'll head downstairs now and check the mail before thinking about what I'm going to prepare for lunch.

And honestly I'm surprised you didn't already have notes titled "If I Were A Rich Man."

DITTO!

And honestly, when would the opportunity to use "A Sax and A Finger Piano" for the notes' title present itself again ...

At one time, we were going to do a sequel to Nudie, but it was the early 80s and, as you know, attitudes towards sex and humor sadly changed in ways no one could ever have imagined.  However, several things I was planning on doing in the sequel, including one huge production number, have ended up in the stage version.

And of course I would direct another film, and was planning to back in 2002 with the Meltz and Ernest story, until the flaky producers flaked.  Happy to say they seem to have disappeared off the face of the Earth (they were also supposed to bring Nudie to B'way back in that same year).

One of my many excuses for being so E and T as of late is I'm busy working on a new play for our local community theatre. I absolutely love this play and recommend it to my fellow HHW community theatre members as a choice for a future season. Really, check it out:

37 Postcards by Michael McKeever (through the Barbara Hogenson Agency in NYC)

It's filled with the most eccentric, wacky, charming, funny, and endearing characters. Lots of laugh out loud moments, but lots of moving, poignant moments too -- it's about the way a family deals with the loss of a loved one.

A great comedy with lots of heart ...  or is it a great drama with lots of laughs?  Whatever, it is absolutely wonderful (especially in the hands of our director and cast).

An unexpected development in our big household switcheroo - I made room in a high-up kitchen cupboard for our good china, which will facilitate more frequent use of those dishes.

Our Town (the bacon play) was on TDF for a fleeting second but by the time I got to it all the tickets had been taken. They hadn't refreshed the board. It's gone now. I will just have to go to the Theatre and see if I can get a ticket.

This morning I was given my brand spanking new PC at work.  I haven't really given it too much of a spin yet but I will say this for it:  it is amazingly quiet.  Not a peep or a wrrrrrrr.  The monitor makes more noise! Fro that, I am very happy.

What's been a little frustrating is setting up all my old stuff.  I've been trying to get my iTunes back.  I've had to import from two different folders and I kept getting errors when it tried to import the one that contained videos.  I worked around that by pulling out the video folder--hopefully I'll get that all in later.  My next concern is what will happen when I attach my iPod and it starts to sync.  I expect unpleasantness.
