Well, you've read the notes, the notes were rich, and now it is time for you to post until the rich cows come home.

Oy...what a day.  Though I'm glad I was there.
And honestly I'm surprised you didn't already have notes titled "If I Were A Rich Man."

But hey - today was a day for it.

I just wish Ben Hur had stuck around so we could have heard him.  Although with no sheet music and no headshot/resume, who knows what we would have gotten from him.

It sounds like some of the real live auditions rival the audition segment in the film!!!!     :)

Although some of today's auditions rivaled that absurdity...

As I mentioned elsewhere, I will never be able to hear "If I Were A Rich Man" or "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" the same ever again.

And "Miss Byrd" was an ever-popular choice.  As well as "Whatever Lola Wants."
Being on this side of the casting table is quite an eye-opener.

It's taught me that you should bring in a sax and a finger piano to get noticed.  That's what it is all about.

The Vixter just left for school but before she did she saw the birthday wishes from  DAW, FJL and Michael S.  She says "thank you!" to all and she will try to get on this afternoon to say  "Thanks" personally!

Today is a busy day after school she has rehearsal for the Shakespeare Festival  where her class is performing (alongwith other schools) in NYC this Friday - then she has a school concert to perform in tonight and then we ae all going over to my Mom's for a family celebration of her Sweet Sixteenth

From Sunday #2

Quote from: Kerry on April 26, 2009, 03:12:56 PM
I was listening to the Liz Callaway  Frank Loesser album again.  It is so lovely, but I wish the tempos were just atad faster on some songs.

If the number in question is "My Heart Is So Full Of You," then, too bad, you're wrong. Wink

I have said this so many times but this and Joey Joey are my favorite tracks from the Liz Callaway album

Especially the instrumental break that starts at the music break at about 4:00 minute and every that goes on from there, Especially the use of the piano. I never get tired of listening to it

From Sunday #3

BK:

You and Cason have to stop going to those restaurants where the waiters ogle him. They are probably thinking

a) He is on the "job"

or

b) There is a "daddy"/son thing going on there.  ;D

Cason is probably safer going to Denny's of IHOP  :D

Interesting audition stories in the notes.....yes DR CASON it is entirely different on that side of the table.  What surely seems like a good idea in front of the mirror at home - doesn't turn out to be so good....in front of the staff.  I look forward to more interesting stories today.

Sorry you didn't hear "Scales" yet.....as you say, the potential is there today.

And as for not showing up......yes, what's up with that?

My question for ASK BK day for MR BK and everyone:

What important event - family or otherwise - have you had to miss because of a performance obligation?
