Well...

First someone was taken off the train earlier at Rochester...

And now it appears someone else is being escorted off the train... Well, maybe more than one... :-\

And now for the scheduled one-hour layover in Albany.

And they are taking a young gentleman off the train... Apparently, he stopped taking his meds... :-\

I wonder if MR BK will tell us if EACH of the Peyton Place episodes opens with the credits - or has SHOUT given us the chopped up syndication episodes and only ONE opening credit sequence per disk....I wonder.

I'm still on Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited with service between Chicago and New York City and Boston.

At least I think I am. <cue theme from "The Twilight Zone">

I watched "Rich And Famous" last night; it has been years since I'd seen it.  I wanted to see the party filmed at Lon McCallister's beach house and see the cameos by Christopher Isherwood, Don Bachardy, Frances Bergen, Gavin Lambert, etc.  I remembered the seduction scene with Matt Latanzi, but I'd forgotten just how sexy it was.  I had totally forgotten the scene with Michael Brandon on the plane.  Definitely all worth seeing again.

You should be safe once you cross the border.  But for God's sake, make sure you wear the hat they gave you at the station when you go through the checkpoint.  And listen to every word that Myrle Streep tells you--she's on our side.

I'm a little slow on the uptake, but I just saw where Greg Jbara is up for a Tony this year - merely a year and a half after making an appearance in a little thing called "Two's Company: An Evening of Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz" I heard of... :P

Congrats to him!

I forgot about Monkey.  We wouldn't want him taken off the train.

I woke up tired this morning. I watched all of DWTS and MEDIUM!

And was DANCING WITH THE STARS two hours as I said yesterday it was going to be?

Was PEYTON PLACE ever broadcast in color?

Yes. The first two seasons were black and white; the rest were in color.

Well, BRIDE WARS did come in today, so my day off turned into a work day. More about it in a minute.

I began my afternoon by watching the first forty minutes or so of MEDIUM. Very intriguing episode with lots of strange visions and Ariel's story very upsetting indeed.

But I had to put it on hold at 1 p.m. so I could get started on my work.

Then I watched BRIDE WARS. Now, I have nothing against "chick flicks." I adored THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and liked SEX AND THE CITY a lot. I even liked 97 DRESSES more than most people. And I was a gooey mess over P.S. I LOVE YOU.

But this was one lame flick. I haven't seen Kate Hudson in a ton of stuff, but she doesn't have any of her mother's playfulness and ease with romantic comedy. I found her brittle and dull.

Anne Hathaway was the better of the two stars, but the script really let these two actresses down. And other talented folks like Candice Bergen and Kristen Johnson weren't helped either by the slack script and so-so direction.
