Well aside from the public at large, a whole coterie of Daniel's students came in from up and down the west coast to see their mentor, and that was very nice. And there was another whole coterie of Dell'Arte people who had never been able to see Daniel live, and they also came in from up and down the west coast. So NEA ying-yangage had relatively little to do with it.

I did fume publically about the Oregonian and a theater director came up to me afterward and tell me she didn't even get a calendar listing (which is all Daniel got) when she had John Guare come to town for a reading and seminar. That's Portland, folks.

I'm back from John's Pizzeria; DR FJL and BK are off to NEXT TO NORMAL and Walter Willison is off to wherever he's heading. Our BK looked sleek and chic and I was feeling puny. Still am, but the pizza was really good.

When I was young I adored my mother & thought she was the most beautiful woman. I can't find a photo that captures my memory. There were a few, including the best one ever of my father, from their wedding. My sister lost the photos.

Well, right now I have LOTS. My sister and her husband are visiting from Michigan and staying with my Mom. My cousin and his wife are visiting from Georgia and staying with my aunt. My niece is visiting from Illinois and staying with us. Tomorrow we're all going to dinner at the Golden Lamb in Lebanon to celebrate my aunt's 80th birthday and Mother's Day.
