This weekend, I'll probably watch several episodes of THE CLOSER, Season 4, and also the last 3 episodes of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, Season 3.

Friday morning greetings!  We are getting ready to visit the Lunts at

Ten Chimneys

before the rain moves in later this afternoon.  That's when we'll go to the laundromat.  Do we know how to party or what?

Good morning, all! I've been sleeping badly for over a week, and last night was not an exception. I dozed off around 11 pm and at 12:45 am, I was wide awake and restless for an hour or so. After that, I was in and out of consciousness most of the night. I'm usually out of bed between 7:30 and 8, but I slept in until 8:45 or so.

Today, I have edits for the Main Report on BABES IN TOYLAND, some Jerome Moross piano transcriptions, and Mr Loesser's great score. I also need to make a trip to my sorage space, drag home some cartons and sort through them. I no longer need the space so I believe I will shut it down and save myself $150/month.

DR vixmom, once again, a nibble on the property and then nothing. If the cheap-ass Macbeth would list it with a realtor dealing in commercial space, it might move but he's convinced my brother Randy not to pay a broker's fee. But, since cheap-ass Macbeth has done nothing in 2 years to help sell the property or mow the grass, I don't know why Randy listens to the fool.

Good morning!

Another overcast morning, and a bit muggy, too. It was cool enough to open up the house earlier, but it won't stay open for long if the heat continues to rise.

I'm glad you found help on the AVS Forum, bk. You're welcome! I appreciated that you took my advice. I've never bought a piece of A/V equipment that I didn't go there and get some pointers.

You might also want to find your Blu-ray player user group there, too, because it's there when I find out that there are firmware updates to make on the player. Those are quick and painless to do, too.

I had a nice surprise this morning. Best friend John called. He has the day off and wanted to know if I wanted to go with him to get doughnuts. I did not need my arm twisted to go. A nice treat. I haven't had a doughnut in many, many months.

I got a huge shipment of Fox/MGM Blu-rays today going back to several weeks ago of street date releases (like THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY and BIG) plus this week's releases of things like THE GOOD, THE BAD, and the UGLY and TAKEN.

I will be a busy bee for the next few weeks!

I'm still going to finish GUNSMOKE today since I'm more than halfway through the box and have the review mostly written. I'll start on those Fox items tomorrow.

I believe I shall take my walk up to 107th Street and begin the clearance of my storage space. I'll pick up whatever cartons I need, sort through what I believe is junk and try to clear the place out in three steps:
  1. What I bring back today
  2. What I cart back on my next trek
  3. What I'll toss when I close the account.

Perhaps I can do it in two, but I think 3 is wiser.

Good Morning! Good Afternoon! Good Evening!

We'll be heading to the airport in about six hours.  Now as to whether if we'll get any sleep before then remains to be seen. -A couple of relatives are making last-night, late-night visits.  However, my bags are packed, so...

In any case...

Our flight leaves Manila at 7:20am, and we are supposed to arrive in Richmond at 10:42pm tomorrow night.  Or whatever day of the week "tomorrow" ends up being.  We have a three-hour layover in Detroit, and that will probably be the first opportunity I'll have to check back in here or elsewhere on the interwebs. So, until then...

It is Friday where I am (just so DR Jose has something against which to calibrate).

It is also payday.

Bright-eyed, I am, and ready to zip through this here day and get to the weekend (tomorrow will be Saturday here, DR Jose!)    ;)
