And what an absolutely glorious morning it is here in NYC!  Watching the sun come up over the New York City skyline was the perfect wake-up call and welcome back!

It is still gray and drizzly here in Phoenix, and the people all love it.

Wonder if DR JOSE is still on that bus?

Not as of 6:30am.  -And even with some traffic due to construction in Virginia and on the NJ Turnpike, we still made it to NYC in under six hours!  -We didn't end up leaving Richmond until almost 12:50am.

Good Morning!

Greetings from New York City!!!!

:)

Who'd-a guessed it? No sirens, thunderclaps, or lightning bolts. Or terrorist alarms. When DR MBarnum lands, the streets are filled with naked or towel-clad men running from gyms and old folks homes in terror.

To all those that have home theater set up have you ever heard of a device called the BUTTKICKER?

ButtKicker® brand low frequency audio transducers “shake” your couch, home theater seating, gaming chair, car, or drum throne precisely in sync with your movie, music or game.

Never heard of it and sorry I did. When I kick butt, I use my feet and heavy shoes.

Don't I know it!

TOD:

I am on a Japanese kick. Just finished watching a 1967 Japanese spy film titled 3 SECONDS TO EXPLOSION. Now I am in the middle of the 1959 Toshiro Mifune film SAMURAI SAGA which is a samurai version of Cyrano de Bergerac. It is quite good.

Up next should be another Japanese spy film, DETECTIVE BUREAU 2-3: GO TO HELL BASTARDS (1963) if Netflix delivers it today as well as the brand new Bollywood sci-fi flick LOVE STORY 2050.

Yep, and some Fox Blu-ray discs have D-Motion built into them to accentuate the experience.

Good morning!

Gorgeous May morning with just cool enough temps to not be uncomfortable in shorts though it's going to warm into the low 80s today. Back to late spring temps now.

Today's work project is the Blu-ray of THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY. I had some time this morning, so I put in the disc and started watching the bonus featurettes. I got the first two watched, both making-of/tributes to the film and its director.

This is the 161-minute version of the movie rather than the bloated 180-minute movie version that I'll be watching today. Seeing the clips in the two featurettes brought back many fun memories of this wonderful movie.

I agree with bk about A CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER. Revisiting the movie on Blu-ray a couple of months ago, I enjoyed it far more than other viewings, and the Blu-ray was excellent in picture and sound. A first rate effort.

I liked Ford's first venture into playing Jack Ryan, too - PATRIOT GAMES, but when I saw it on the Universal-HD Channel, it didn't look any better than my upconverted DVD, so I haven't gotten that on Blu-ray yet.

Second off - Sensurround began at seven-twenty - I am not exaggerating when I say my entire house is shaking, windows rattling, cabinets squeaking - there should be a law.
