TOD:
VCR:  The Sunshine Boys
A couple of episodes of "Our World" with Linda Ellerbee and Ray Gandolf.  It was so intelligent and witty and informative; no wonder the show didn't last.

Second off - Sensurround began at seven-twenty - I am not exaggerating when I say my entire house is shaking, windows rattling, cabinets squeaking - there should be a law.

How well I remember. I actually had pictures shaken off the walls.

Well, I guess I need to head downstairs now to get cleaned up a bit and head out for my usual Friday errands.

Friday morning greetings!  I'm back from my local Vera Bradley retailer, where I found several bargains both for myself and for gifts.  Richard drove me out there last night at midnight for their "Midnight Madness" sale, which was, indeed, madness.  I told him just to drive on by and I'd be there when they opened at 9am today.  Apparently they had 100 women waiting to get in at midnight and in 2 hours sold $6000 in merchandise.  At least they didn't sell the one thing I really, really wanted:

So... To nap, or to Fleet Week?

::)

Oy!

That was especially for you, DR elmore! :)

I love it when people yell at me, I'm a bowling pin, knock me down!

I'm guessing that was me talking?  ;)

I think you've been channeling DR MBarnum. that's not a euphemism.

Well, I think I'm going to lay down here for a bit.  -And if I don't fall asleep here, then I'll probably head to the Park and take a nap there. ;)

There was a brief respite but they're at it again.  I guess I'll do the long jog just to escape.

Or you could go to the Shake Shack and have a First of the Season Concrete!

I (we) can't because we will be on Long Island (Anthony is already there). I'm leaving in a couple of hours.

BK sorry about the torture.

Is there anyway that you can not work from home for the next few days? You'd think that they'd have to advise people how long the noise would be going on for. For people who work from home having their house shake from morning till night is not very comfortable!

Speaking of Sensurround, had a rather contentious chat with the developer of the McMansions next door this morning.  He thinks he can bully me.   He quickly found out I'm not exactly a shrinking violet.  :)

The fact that I know he's already being sued for something like $70 million (yes, you read that right), gives me a certain, shall we say, confidence in not being bullied.  ;)

Two telling moments department:  At one point, he sounded very tired and sighed and said, "Times are tough."  Like that's my problem.  And then later he said, "I'll be glad to be out of here."  That one made me LOL.
