Good Day!!   Well, the DP and I decided to cancel our annual Tony Awards party Sunday night.  Neither of us we're feeling neither the Tonys or a big party this year.  So, we'll watch the Tony's with a few friends and perhaps join the party here.  Although, please remember some of us are on the west coast and we'll get the results 3 hours later.

TOD - nothing exciting (seems to be a theme here)

So who the frell was that Angie Dickinson looking woman I and a couple of others asked about months ago?  I think that was a L&O:CI.  That's everyone's next assignment.  :)

DR Ben -

It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all

There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means
Friendship to ev'ryone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

And you!!! I'm telling your mother. Give me her phone number (and her SSN and her credit card number, with CCV and any other relevant material).

Well, if you happen to remember the name of the episode, you could just search that blog I linked to earlier.

Tried searching the episode title "Playing Dead" on the blog, nothing came up.  But then I went to IMDb, which has finally updated this season's episodes and discovered it's Alexandra Neil, whoever the frell that is.  :)

DR Jose re: SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

What did you think of it?

I was so annoyed in the middle of wed's show as i gather were many many others re: natalie.
That was just crap.  I also felt so bad for alex the ballet dancer. But he probably should have found that out first. And i agreed with mary murphy re: natalie's friend, the black guy whose name escapes me right now. He was so good. ANd mia and little c were being so rude to him!

I love the Vegas shows. BUt they are always disappointing because so many people we end up loving from the auditions get cut for no apparent reason. And there are probably 10 people who made it who i have never seen before. What is that about???

With the way they edit these shows -- and with the time limits for these shows -- it's hard to really know who should be in the Top 20 cause they don't show and/or feature everyone.  Mia had gotten on that guy in an earlier critique, so I'm wondering if he did something to tick her off during the rehearsals of the dance she choreographed in Vegas -- and it sounded like it wasn't so much his dancing but his attitude for her (she used some word like cocky or arrogant when getting on him -- and when it was announced he had enough votes to go into the Top 20, she made a comment about seeing what happens when they get into the same room together -- makes me wonder if he didn't do her steps the way she wanted or somehow insulted her sensibilities) and Lil' C has never come across as mean spirited before (whereas Mia can be a crumudgeonette at times) so maybe the guy has some 'tude (dare I say diva) issues they didn't like -- or ...

more likely it was scripted to create some drama and some hype for the guy (maybe he's the one they're gonna pimp this year -- like Debbie Allen's student last year that they kept gushing over and saying after each time he danced that he was Debbie's student -- so maybe they think if they reverse the tactic and  make it look like Mia's picking on him, the public will become protective of him and vote for him)  ... hey, I'm just saying ...

reality is in the eye of the editor, I mean,  producers!

Good Afternoon!

I have another audition session to play this afternoon, and even though it's raining, I want to get out and stretch my legs for a bit.  I'm thinking an hour in MoMA may do the trick.

Jose, I get conflicting stories about a fee for the actors - first someone told me yes, but the reading that follows us says no and they're under the same contract.  I actually think that the latter is correct when not charging admission - which we're not - if you charge, then you pay $100 per actor, which we're doing anyway.

This morning's adventure - they began working at seven - loud yammering from the whole crew, hammering, some sort of repeated noise as if they were tamping the ground with a machine.  I took it as much as I could and got up at seven-thirty.  The minute my foot hit the floor the noise stopped - I kid you not.  I walked into the other room and noticed it was drizzling outside.  I went back to bed.  The work was stopped but the yammering continued, but I finally fell asleep and slept until the phone rang at nine-thirty.  It's still gray out and I probably won't chance the long jog, since it's raining over the hill and may find its way up here.

She was one of the judges on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE this week and i thought she came across as very kind and helpful. She tried to make the dancers feel good about themselves even if they were getting cut.

So far, on my free morning, I've packed four cartons with things to send to the Miami University Library, redone some CD and DVD shelves, and tidied books. Oy!

I thought she was a really good Anita in the 1980 WEST SIDE STORY revival, but that doesn't mean she's any more a good choreographer than her sister is a good actress. She was absolutely pathetic in the glorious WINTER'S TALE at Lincoln Center last year. Yet they work.
