In the late morning, I have to go back to my sister's and help her with her new house.  We didn't set up the entertainment center like I thought we would, so it'll have to be done today.  I told her that it's my one night off AND the Tony Awards are being broadcast TONIGHT, so I MUST leave by 4:30 or 5:00.  I need my "me" time. ;) I also need to work more on getting my computer set up.  I have some downloaded programs that I'd like to install in my new computer (including my printer) and I may need some help with those.  We'll see.

I had dreams last night:

First, I dreamed that DR George and I were grocery shopping together.

Then, I dreamed that I was driving Jon Stewart to some sort of party.

Is anyone else watching the BBC series "Beautiful People" on LOGO?  Delightful episode this week concerning tween wannabe stage stars, with a very insteresting medley montage of numbers from musicals.

TONY COVERAGE

For those in NY, you can catch the red/carpet pre-show on NY1 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM EDT.  For the most of us who don't get that cable channel, you can still hear the audio on www.ny1.com.

www.TonyAwards.com will be webcasting the pre-CBS awards from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM EDT, and will also have a red carpet show starting at 6:30 PM EDT - this may be the same coverage as with NY1.

CBS will be carrying the televised awards from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, EDT.

I stopped watching the Tony awards sometime ago. They stopped being fun when they moved to Radio City.

They use to have themes ever year. One was a tribute to all the musicals that played the Majestic (or was it the Imperial) and it was broadcast from that theater.

Or the year they played tribute to Sondheim, Herman and Kander/Ebb all in one show.

And the 25 years of the Tonys and 50 years of the Tonys where practically every Tony winner was there.

And the talent that was there! So many are gone now. What about the year of the Damn Yankees revival where they paid tribute to Mr. Abbott. And at the end of the Damn Yankees they brought out Mr. Abbott (100+ years old), Gwen Verdon and Jean Stapleton

I think the glory days of the Tony Awards are gone

Good morning, all! I have to be at Toyland in an hour. After the meeting, I shall return, putter around the apartment, maybe even finish my critical notes th the Appendix material, send in my invoice and wait for payment.

Tonight, I am going to see a new gay men's chorus in performance with guest artist Malcolm Gets. I'm hop[ing the concert won't go on too long since I supose I should care some about the Tonys. I did come to New York to work in the theatre, although I believe the NY theatre has pretty much excluded me. I do so want to hear, though, those new GUYS AND DOLLS orchestrations so I hope I'm back in time to see that sequence.

DR Sam, I forgot last night and apologize!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vibes to DR Sam and her father! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Good morning!

An absolutely gloriious late spring morning. It's cool, the birds are singing merrily outside my office window, and it's just heavenly here. I'm looking forward to a wonderful Tony Sunday.

Good morning from whatever this airport is called. Check in was pretty quick but my bag was overweight. I hate it when that happens

Well, I stick with the Tonys through thick and thin. Even years when I wasn't enthusiastic about the shows up for awards (like last year), I was still not going to miss it. Gives me always a taste of Broadway, and I have such a long history with coming to NYC specifically to see shows, it's just a part of me.

I also hate people who thinkb a bath in heavy cologne before going to a crowded place is a good thing. The woman in front of me at the theater last night was wearing some thing awful and right now the guy sitting next to me is about to make me gag

But other than that, it's a beautiful day in Las Vegas and I'm very glad to be going home. I left my economic stimulus and have no plans to fly anywhere for the foreseeable future

The Tonys are going to be in high definition for the first time ever this year, so I am greatly thrilled about that!

BK, if you haven't upgraded your dish service to HD, find some old rabbit ears you can attach to your new TV, get the digital tuner in your new set to seek out your local HD stations, and watch the Tonys in HD this year.

My work project today is the Blu-ray of MORNING LIGHT, a Disney-produced documentary of a 2,500 mile sailing expedition. It's only 98 minutes, and there are only a couple of bonus features, so I hope to be able to get this all finished before the Tonys on the net at 7 p.m.

I assume we won't have to worry about spoilers for the Tony pre-show we're going to watch on the internet. Everyone has the ability to watch it on their computers "live" if they're not in NYC.
