Whew---just got back from a 5.5 mile "therapy" walk to see the end of the opening number. Watching the Tonys makes me realize how long it's been since I've been to any shows in NY. I hope to remedy that soon!

Now that was a funny line, I will steal that!

If you EVER get a chance to work with this actor.....don't!

Hearing Liza just now makes me think she won't win. I guess WIll Ferrell is going to win?

The opening number is worth seeing......but it's kind of a mish mosh......and really points up the shortcomings of the shows that have.....shortcomings.

DR edi, this is making me want to go to New York to see shows. Not any time soon, but....

Speaking of seeing shows. Last night at Phantom, a lot of people had late seating, including two I had to stand up for, they were drinking, getting up to go to the bathroom etc.

The two worst solo singers were Stockard and Craig Bierko, and they're actors who sing rather than singers. I'm not sure they could hear the orchestra or their nerves made them sing off pitch.

Some pretty sharp writing for the opening....that didn't overstay its welcome.  But I wish Neil would make his hair blond again.

I hate to say that there's one show that I'm rooting against, but after the events of yesterday, when the groundhog revealed that I will have at least 3 more weeks of hell, I can't help it. I don't expect said show to win anyway, so I don't think my sentiments will hurt it none...
