I find it interesting that they chose to do Sit Down Your Rockin The Boat for the Tony Award 2009 as they did the same number for the last revival.

I was wondering why the chose that over some of the other numbers from the show.

BTW I have been watching select moments from the Tony Awards on You Tube

It is also nice to Blue Gobo back on the web.

Now I hope the other people who own the copyright for the the remaining clips don't follow what the Sullivan people did. (Although I do understand why they did, but why did they took so long to do it?)

Good morning, all! Today I am back to the McGlinnventory. I guess the pushy office manager who was all for evicting us has calmed down although I hear we are being moved to another office. When I get back here later, I have to deal with more Moross scores.

Beyond that, we had a helluva storn last night with lots of really loud thunder and lightning. I slept very poorly through most of it.  I haven't heard if there's any problem on the subways with flooding, but it could be a problem navigating my way to the East Side this morning.

TOD: I related it yesterday. My only memories of my mother's worst kitchen moments were the occasional explosion of the pressure cooker and the sound of the lid hitting the ceiling before the thud when it landed. Because my mother was insane, her cooking was either really good or really atrocious. I remember that I never knew cookies weren't necessarily burned to a crisp until I got into school and saw and tasted what other mothers baked.

I'm beginning to really understand that I have some real enemies or haters out there regarding my YouTube stuff.

I posted Skip's recording of the late great David Carroll singing TIME AND TIME AGAIN with Janie Smulyan on YouTube last night,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p28LS2ztGQo

and already someone's starting with the "one star" ratings to bring the rating down - and on Skip's song yet!

If you watch and listen and like it enough to be inclined to rate or comment, as always, it's very much appreciated!!!

Two big, bright blue eyes appeared on the side of my bed this morning.  I have an energetic Dixie Bell, who is still hobbling - though at least she's putting some more pressure on that leg.

Thank you one and all for the most excellent and ongoing vibes.

Likewise, why did Legally Blonde decide to showcase the same number that was done two years ago on the awards broadcast?

It suddenly strikes me as funny that Legally Blonde has managed to get the same number featured on the Tonys in two different years despite the fact that it was never nominated as a Best Musical in the first place.

TOD:

Can't really think of any major kitchen disasters other than the time I made three lemon meringue pies (two to take to a dinner party and one for home) and later discovered that the lemon filling had separated in all of them.  I had made lemon meringue before with no problems so I have no idea what went wrong.  Had to throw all three away (after draining the liquids down the sink drain) and then scramble to a bakery to buy replacements for the dinner party.

That is basically what i meant. It's nothing against the guy who sang on the Tonys.

It's just that to me you want to show something that will get people wanting to see the show. I would have put something with the 4 leads.

I felt similarly about the number from SHREK. I would have rather seen a number with the leads. Although in certain situations i can see them doing a number to showcase someone who is nominated for a Tony. I just don't care for that SHREK number. And now i've seen it a few times!
