The one thing I've learned as a writer...good ideas are at a premium, so keep them to yourself, lest someone steal them.  Therefore, I will not be offering any ideas for converting anything into a musical.

That is very true.  Now I'm sorry I mentioned my Ben Franklin/Merlin idea here yesterday.

I will not make that mistake with my idea of a movie about vampiric dinosaurs, that's for sure!

If I ever have a good idea, I will keep it to myself.

R.I.P., Ed McMahon!      :(

I think it's a mercy. The poor man has had such troubles in recent years, both with his health and his finances. I'm sad about the loss, but I'm relieved he'll be at peace.

Good morning!

It was a little bit cooler this morning, but only barely, and it's already begun heating up. The house is fully closed up and will remain that way. Another day in the 90s. Ugh!

TOD:

I loved what was done with the book of UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE when making the movie version, and a musical based on that screenplay could be wonderful.

Jerry Herman could work up a tremendous comedy number for Henrietta Pasterfield as she explains her "traffic punctuation." Could be a Victor Borge-like comedy number that would be tremendous. (Kander and Ebb could have done it, too, but since we no longer have Mr. Ebb, I wouldn't suggest Kander alone.)

My work project today is the second season of BURN NOTICE on Blu-ray. I'm very eager to see how the show translates to 1080p imagery. There are 16 episodes, so it'll take me two days to do all the episodes and the bonus features. I hope to get at least 10 done today.

I am, I believe, up.  If you heard what was going on next door you'd be up, too.  Now that I am up they've literally stopped the noise.  One more morning of this and I will be calling the guy in charge of this project because they are INSANE.

Delighted to see BETTER OFF TED back in the line-up. It's such a droll show, and I hope it can pick up some fans this summer.

Wow, a first - not one order for a new Kritzerland title.  I suspect when it goes live and have a chance to hear the samples that might change.  No matter, though - Legrand is a favorite of mine and I'm thrilled to be doing it.

Then something is definitely wrong, as I certainly placed an order early this morning.

How weird - both DAW and Jrand placed orders, which did not show up in the mailbox where direct through paypal orders go.  They're in the account and I've got them, but now I have to check and see why they didn't show up in the proper mailbox.  The site orders are definitely showing up to the mailbox THOSE go to.

The UPS man just delivered the Blu-ray review copy of THE PINK PANTHER 2. I didn't see the first one, so I have no idea what I'll be in store for when I get to it on Friday. The rest of the week prior to that is already booked with review items.

I overslept this morning and didn't get a chance to clean the living room before coming upstairs for my workout, so I must head down now and get that cleaning done before I start cooking lunch.

From the previews on tv, I'd say take lots of meds before viewing.
