DR Jane - Aw, Thank You. Now I just need to go through the backlog of about 800 pictures I still have to select and edit and get some things uploaded to Facebook and Flick. *And I've actually been surprised at how nice some of my iPhone pics have turned out on Facebook. I always try to take another shot with my Canon, but sometimes the "original" iPhone pic looks better. More in the moment, I guess.

Simple: The workers start their shift before you wake up. They want to get their work done in a timely manner, and on their schedule. And once that "loud" work is done - sawing, hammering, etc. - then they're done. Then maybe they move onto sanding, painting, checking for proper fit - quiet work.

And if they had started at 10:00 wouldn't that then have interfered with some music-listening or movie-watching?

I don't envy your current position - nor the similar one that DRs JMK, DerBrucer and SWW are in - but I'm sure you know full well that there's nothing you can do about. Well, you can complain - which you have been. But that's not going to make it go away.

Next time, just go ahead and run out of your house, go over there and give them what for! -Now that would be something I'd like to read about!

We're seeing the HAIR matinee on Wednesday and keeping Wednesday and Thursday evenings open to try to see TWELFTH NIGHT with DRs Elmore and Jose, depending on weather forecasts. We have back-up show desires for those evenings, but no definite plans.

Ann, before I get sued by Norwegian Cruises, let me say that if you have never taken a cruise before, and it is a seven day Mexican cruise, you should have a wonderful time. That is provided that you get a good price for the cruise. At this moment, it is the best time for people looking to try a cruise experience. All of the cruise lines are offering lower prices and various extras to get people on board their ships.

If you are going with friends, and you are going to enjoy yourself and Mexico with those friends; then I say go for it.

*Because of the Renegade Cabaret last night, I ended up staying until The High Line closed. As I said, I'm not sure this morning's travesty was next door - otherwise I do believe I would have gone over there this morning. The good news is that the construction is going very quickly - the structure is built and I'd say that come September the house will basically be finished on the exterior.

LOL, thanks TCB. Jed and I have cruised before, we went with Royal Caribbean for our honeymoon cruise and really enjoyed ourselves. We have never been down to Mexico, though. The prices are quite low right now, and I think if we do decide to book it, we will go with the intention of spending time with friends and seeing the sights and keep low expectations for the cruise itself. That way we might be pleasantly surprised.

So...

The last bit of "old" furniture to be cleared out upstairs was a bed. A big bed. So, that got moved out to the sidewalk earlier this morning. Of course, the landlord just came by to tell me that she's going to get ticketed by the Sanitation Department for putting out large refuse after the trash pick-up. -And the Sanitation Dept has been doing a lot of ticketing lately. However, since it's not my bed, and since I didn't move it out there, well...

For any DR who might be interested in this...

There's a "silent Flash Mob" scheduled for 5:00 in Times Square. It will sort of be along the lines of one of those Improv Everywhere "pranks", however, this one will be a tribute to Michael Jackson. So..

Just arrive in Times Square before 5:00 - costumes encouraged. Have your iPod with you, and have the 5:57 version of "Thriller" cued up. When you hear the whistle blow, start dancing the "Thriller" choreography!

I'm not planning on participating, but I'm hoping to make it down there to take pics.

*Apparently, due to an error on Time Out New York's site yesterday, a good bunch of people showed up yesterday - some in costume. It will be interesting to see how many people show up today.
