I wouldn't say I'm crazy about sea books or films, off the top of my head:

CAPTAIN BLOOD (book & film)
THE SEA HAWK (book & film)
THE ODYSSEY (book)
JASON & THE ARGONAUTS (film)
THE VIKINGS (film)
ABANDON SHIP (film)
THE GOLDEN VOYAGE OF SINBAD (film)
JASON (book)
HERCULES, MY SHIP MATE (book)

In regards to NAMT, NYMF, etc...

I was more concerned about bk's casting concerns and requirements, rather than the potential exposure. -Although, to a certain extent, they sort of go hand in hand.  I've just noticed some preliminary cast lists from some of the NYMF shows, and it seems a lot of "good people" have already been lined up for some NYMF shows.  There would be no direct conflict with the possible performance dates, but there could be conflicts with rehearsals.

Jose - I agree about the casting aspect!

Although, on yet another hand, if NYMF actors are already at the end of their performance schedule, some of them might be willing to rehearse the "29 hours" on NUDIE around their performance schedule, and then you have the "safety" of knowing they probably - probably - won't take a job out of town if they have TWO commitments in NYC, both the NYMF and the NUDIE.

Thursday morning greetings!  Today I'm going to spend some time with my Mom before taking off for Chicago tomorrow.  We're going to Dorothy Lane Market in Springboro.

The chart is completed, and I am heading out to Staples to photocopy the chart, then back to Local 802 to ascertain what they gave me yesterday really is an invoice, and then to Chelsea Music. I'll check in from Toyland if I can.

DR Jose, re: your Y&R question from last night re: P3 and cane.

This is just going by my memory. So some of it may be a little bit off.

But what i remember was that cane came to town and was working as a bartender ( i think at indigo). Katherine had remembered giving the baby phillip to some woman named violet. Amber was katherine's friend at the time, and she knew the story. And amber was also becoming friendly with cane.

I believe that cane came to town sort of trying to find his mother. And some how a blood test was taken and it came back that jill and cane were not related. But then they took another blood test that confirmed that they were mother and son. And so everyone believed that kathering had stolen and switched jill's baby. Cane was really mad at katherine.

The reason that cane did not look like P3 is because they were saying that phillip (the one who is back now) was not really jill's son. They were saying that katherine switched babies and that cane was the real P3.

More Y&R

And as for DR TCB's question about phillip 3 (the one on now) dying in a car crash. I believe that he was in a car crash. But he did not "die" until later when he was in the hospital with his family watching.  Although now P3 says that he paid the doctor to fake that.

I have to go down to Town Hall today and ask that all of the street signs in my neighborhood be redone.

They have to now read:

No Parking On This Side of the Street

UNLESS Someone Is Having a Garage Sale

I'm curious which two dancers on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE won't make it to the top 10 tour. I'm sure that they are going to consider this fact (the tour) when deciding who will go.

I'm sure melissa/ade and brandon/janette will be safe. And there is no way they are gonna ditch kayla or phillip's partner (my mind just blanked on her name). So i guess it depends if randi/even are in B3. I think i would get rid of her (i really like kaitlin).

As for the guys i would get rid of kayla's partner (kaono sp?).

Hmmm...now I'm not completely sure.  I saw a loacal production here in Philly over ten years ago and while I know you could not see all of Marvin, I'm wondering if at least his feet could be seen.  I'll have to check the script when I get home tonight.

All these sea-themed titles are making me hear Bette Midler singing "Shiver Me Timbers".

Does any DR who works in theatre know where we can purchase a Golden Helmet of Mambrino?  The inner web is particularly unhelpful on this subject, although I may have located one....MAYBE....no response to an email yet.

Good morning!

We had some rain in the early morning hours. My newspaper wrapped in plastic was damp. It's still a bit overcast, so we may have more rain this afternoon. There's a 40% chance so they say.

I found the movie of THE PERFECT STORM incredibly moving and well done. I didn't read the book, so perhaps it's a disappointment compared to that, but the movie grabbed and held me throughout.

In addition to THE PERFECT STORM, I'd have to add:

20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA

MASTER AND COMMANDER

JAWS
