I can't believe I'm saying this, but... "Go, Michael Riedel!"

A WHOLE NEW BALLOT GAME - NO TONY VOTE, BUT PRESS CAN TAKE REVENGE

Yes!  I just read this and I have to say that Riedel is my new hero!

RE: The Tony flap:

VARIETY used to sponsor theater awards every year that were strictly critics' awards in all the major categories. A simple majority of critics' choices determined the prizes. I'm not sure when this stopped (late 1960s maybe; I can remember seeing the awards' results for shows like THE HAPPY TIME, I believe).

Perhaps that could be reinstated.

And, of course, the Donaldson Awards (which predated the Tonys by a few years and which stopped in 1954) might also be reestablished.

Back from mundane errands and thinking about wrastling up a batch of chicken stock.

I don't think YES MAN (with Jim Carrey) would be everyone's cup of tea.  But i really liked it. Sometimes it's nice to just watch an enjoyable romantic comedy. And i laughed a lot!

Thank you, DR Laura.  All 3 of his daughters have posted on Facebook that surgery has begun and they, along with his wife, are occupying themselves in the waiting room with their laptops.  Long day ahead...

re: last night's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE results

I will say that my 2 least favorite dancers went home. But i was not happy with the other 2 in the B4. Those are my 2 favorites! I get why jeanine was top 3 (she had the best dance of the night on wed). But i'm puzzled why janette has ever made B2. Same with Evan! I get he is popular. He seems sweet. But Ade is way better. I used to really like brandon. But he's been annoying me more and more every week. I really like kayla. She just shines. I guess the audience doesn't like melissa and ade as much as i do. :(

I still have last week's TRUE BLOOD to watch. And i'm recording a high school musical type movie that i believe was on nickelodeon (which we don't get here) called SPECTACULAR (it stars the girl who plays Colleen on Y&R).

I also have last night's THE LISTENER to watch. I know the pilot did not get good reviews. But i really like it. The lead guy is very good. AND it's always very interesting to watch.

The noise this morning was cherce and literally right outside the bedroom window, where a man in orange was hanging off the side of the new house, hammering away like an insane person.  I took it as long as I could, then got up.

FJL, that link seems fine.  I do think that www.youtube.com/haineshisway also works, but maybe I'm wrong?

'Wrastling' is a technical kitchen term.

I recall Julia Child and James Beard using that term frequently.

I think Escoffier was the Nijinsky of wrastling!

Good morning, media check

Car - my nephew Andy Haut's CD Beautiful in the Morning.   It's all original stuff and the kid's got talent.  He does, however, need a good record producer, the mix was a bit strange at times.

also in car Barenaked Ladies - can't remember which CD
