DR MattH - Patrick Labyorteaux - or "Laborteaux" as he was sometimes billed - was also on "Little House on the Prairie". His brother, Matthew, was also on the series.

I never watched the show, so that's interesting. Thanks for the info. I had never heard of him until I started reviewing the seasons of JAG on DVD (didn't watch the show when it was being broadcast), so I had no idea he had been a child actor.

Hmm.. I'm just reading the Wikipedia on the Brothers Laborteaux.  It says that Matthew is the "adopted brother" of Patrick. But then it also says that Patrick was adopted too - and was, in fact, labeled "unadoptable".  So... I'm guessing they were both adopted, but were they related before they were adopted? The whole "adopted brother" phrase is confusing me.  ::)

*Btw, I used to have a crush on Matthew.  And I still remember that episode of "Little House" when his character, Albert Ingalls, ended up with a drug addiciton - morphine, I believe - and they devoted an episode to him going through detox. It was the first time I saw someone vomit on TV.  -I'm guessing bk missed that episode.

This week, my dvd watching has been a mixed bag:
I have watched every episode of TORCHWOOD CHILDREN OF EARTH, which I found to be one of the finest series ever aired.
Then, I spent my time watching TORCHWOOD's first season, and there's the mixed bag. . .some great episodes, some stupid episodes, but always entertaining.
Tonight I shall begin TORCHWOOD season two. . .

Did you love the episode in season one where Jack Harkness meets Jack Harkness as much as I did? I still have it on my DVR and rewatch it occasionally because I think it's such a beautiful story and with very touching performances.

Immensely!  It brought me the same joy (and sadness) that the final three episodes of "Children of Men" gave to me.  And talk about perfect casting!

DR td, thanks for your thoughts on "Children of Earth".  Are you feeling any better?

I believe I am at 85%. . .earlier this evening I felt like 75%. . .but, I'm 1000% better than I was on Tuesday or Wednesday. . .thanks for your concern.

There was actually a bit "Torchwood" spoiling going on on Twitter a few weeks ago when the series aired in Britain.  It actually showed up as a "trending topic".  Alas, some unsuspecting American viewers ended up clicking on the "topic" not realizing what kind of information was awaiting them.

I am finished with viewing, have shaved (won't have time in the morning), and am now relaxing, listening to music quite loudly.

And speaking of the Emmy nominations...

It was nice to see that Rob Berman was recognized for his musical direction of "The Kennedy Center Honors".
