TOD:

DVD(S):

SHE FELL AMONG THIEVES (Thanks, DR elmore for the suggestion).

PUSHING DAISIES (season one)

KISMAT KONNECTION (Rashid Kapoor doesn't age, though his leading ladies do)  Quite a nice piece of fluff.

PSYCHO (from the Masterpiece Collection box);  I once had a roommate who couldn't make it through PSYCHO; it made him 'nervous,' and he didn't even make it to the scenes at The Bates Motel. . .I'm hoping for this one to be remastered for a Blu-Ray release.

CD:
I'm still hooked on SISTER ACT, the London Cast Recording.

Hello, my name is Jeff, and I am a Percoset addict.  :)

My, but THE PRODUCERS floated by last night in a pale pink haze.

BK, you should be able to record in 1080p.  (BK will wait until MattH answers him, LOL).

I am hoping that due to BK's mention of finally "cracking a hard nut" we will finally be getting A TIME FOR SINGING.

Actually, TV only broadcasts up to 1080i. 1080p is exclusive to disc media.

I'm sure bk's TV will then scale that 1080i telecast into 1080p for visual delivery (once he gets those settings correct).

It isn't Donnybrook and it isn't A Time For Singing.

Oh, how I wish they were! I would buy both in a skinny minute.

I have now gotten through 16 NCIS episodes and I watched two of those over again to check out the commentaries (by David McCallum and James Whitmore, Jr. on one and Michael Weatherly on the second).

I just ordered a Jonathan and Darlene CD as well as a Florence Foster Jenkins CD.

I have quite a few of the former, I just got a cd of the latter earlier this week.  When I appeared in McNally's AND THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT we used many Florence Foster Jenkins recordings most notable her Queen of the Night aria. . .

Of the four episodes I watched this afternoon, the one that was a showcase for David McCallum was probably the best one. Showed lots of different sides of Ducky and allowed him more range than the episodes generally give him.

I also watched last night's ROYAL PAINS while I ate lunch. Good episode with Andrew McCarthy doing a fine job as the drug-addicted dad. The Evan character was less obnoxious than usual, too.

Well, I'm going to head back down in a few minutes after doing some writing to continue with NCIS. Unless I completely conk out tonight (like I did last night), I hope to get at least four more done today.

Before Wing! Before Mrs. Miller! But after Florence Foster Jenkins! There was Jonathan and Darlene!

Oh Laura, you did my heart proud mentioning Florence Foster Jenkins.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And if it weren't for the cops pulling people over almost every 15 minutes last night, I probably would have gotten a more decent night's sleep.  -My bedroom is on the street-side of the apartment, so the briefs bouts of sirens and the "christmas lights" were a bit distracting.  Sadly, I believe the reason for the extra police presence last night was due to the fact that an 8-year old boy was accidentally killed by a taxi just a couple of blocks from my 'hood yesterday.  And there was also some sort of police investigation going on in the 125th Street subway station yesterday afternoon, that ended up "express-ing" the trains for a couple of hours.

Oh, it is Jose! I thought that Sidney Poitier had joined HHW.

Since the show takes place in the pre-Xerox days, I figure I'd be playing the nerdy guy who fixes the mimeograph machines and typewriters.

This cracked me up from  DR MBarnum yesterday:

I took a bit of a nap this evening, so I hope I can get to sleep tonight. I did not intend to nap, but I was watching an old Tom Neal movie where he goes around shirtless a lot. Unfortunately, there was a scene in which he was fully clothed and that is when I dozed off.
 :D

It made me laugh too :)

Has it been mentioned here before and does it need to be mentioned again that Jonathan and Darlene are indeed Paul Weston and Jo Stafford.

Arnold, Arnold, Arnold, how many times do we have to tell you to post SPOILER WARNINGS?

JMK et ALL ---I'M SORRY-I"M SORRY-I"M SORRY-I'M SORRY

 ;D

I am a big Jo Stafford fan & would never have known it was her.  For her to sing that bad must have been very, very difficult.

DR Ginny I was glad to see you felt comfortable taking a day off from the hospital.  I hope all continued to stay quiet, unless any excitement was related to improvement.

CONTINUED VIBES FOR JOHN!!
