Daw, how did they take a picture of your brain?

Well, first they had to create a vacuum...

BK, hope you're feeing happier soon.  It's never pleasant to feel like a chump, but as Jane said, don't kick yourself about it.

Services this morning were splendid, and I will hopefully have some pics to post soon.

The best part:  my extremely well educated, Hillel Day School taught wife completely blew the Torah blessings, while I, little Salt Lake City born half breed that I am, did them flawlessly.  :)

Of course she also chanted Torah whilst I stood there wondering what all those strange little squiggles were, so I can't be too superior about it.  ;)

Funniest punchline of the kiddush luncheon--Betsy's cousin Brad came over and asked if all the male cousins (8 boys between the ages of 10-14) could congregate at our house and I could watch them for a little while before the rest of the troops arrived.  At which point one of Betsy's radio friends, in her best advertising voice, looked at me and asked, "Isn't it time for another Percoset?"

No, we wanted them to come over (this was after the kiddush and before the party, which we're about to leave for).  These boys were all born within months of each other, we've had nonstop Bar Mitzvahs for years (with two more to come--oy!), so it's fun to see them all together.

With the Percoset, DR JMK wouldn't have cared, one way or the other.      :)

Oy! I have worked very hard today: laundry, cleaning up the coffee mess, writing out the notes on MOST HAPPY FELLA Act Three, which was an 8-hour job in itself, and casting the role of Nicky Arnsyein for the Lyric Stage in Irving, TX. Of course by the time the actor I'd lined up called the producer, he was told the role had been cast. Why the hell did the asshole producer get me involved then? Some friend!

Time to relax!

Thank you all for today's vibes and prayers.  John was extubated (a word I hope never to have to use again) about 3pm and has now been moved to a private room, receiving palliative care.  Richard and I were there until a little after 4pm and have kept in touch this evening via Facebook and text-messaging.  John's wife and daughters are with him and supporting one another very well.

Oh DR Ginny, if you ever have to use the word again I hope it has a more positive meaning, as I wish with all my heart it did this time.

You are all in my heart & I wish you strength & comfort.

I find that Yearbook Yourself spot to be a hideous place and not very amusing!

I'm at home after working this afternoon.  Now, it's time for the travelling cat-sitter to start sitting on cats. ;)

Until later!

Dear MattH, I'm glad you are doing a little better.

Thanks. I have been taking it very easy today, but the tightness and stiffness is preferable to pain.

I'm sure. :)  Continued healing vibes!!

Thank you, DR Jane.
