To All HAINSIES and KIMLETS-

I and My Wife will be leaving Tonight for a Two Week Vacation To Eastern Europe. We are going on a Blue Danube River Cruse(Which I now hear is Brown)

We spend two days in Budapest(Hungary) and then go on The AMA Waterways ship AMALYRA and see the following cities

Bratislavia-Slovakia
Vienna-Austria
Durnstein-Austria
Melk-Austria
Linz(Salzburg)-Austria
Passau-Germany
Regensburg-Germany
Nurenberg-Germany

and 3 Days in Prague-Czech Republic

I will take loads of pictures and will report(Not as Well as Jose and Monkey) the Gastronomic Delights that we encounter and Eat

We will be back on September 17th

For Obvious reasons there will be No Song of the Day during our Vacation.
But I will be back shiny and refreshed in Two Weeks .

Meanwhile-The Song of Two Weeks is(of course) THE BLUE DANUBE WALTZ

Have a great trip, Arnold and Arnold's Wife!!

LOL.  That was the view we were supposed to see.
Glad to read he made it safely.  We went to the UP once, it was foggy most of the time & we could hardly see the painted rocks, which I'm told are beautiful.

Feel better very soon DR TCB!!!

I suspect he's feeling ever poorer after all the work he did to get us out of page three's cinemascope, and you put us right back in.

DS Rob just called to tell us that he arrived safely at Mary Linda's at 1:30 this morning and the two of them are now "on the road again" to meet her family in the Upper Peninsula.

I didn't realize you were referring to the fact the photo is gone. ;D

I asked if the photo was too big & no one complained.  I was not in cinemascope.

DR Matth, maybe if you have time on your hands this weekend you might watch DOSTI: FRIENDS FOREVER. If you are in the mood for eye candy and just pure, mindless entertainment, you will enjoy this film.

Here is a sample to tempt you further: The bonding of the two hunky male leads:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8334ZydR0As

It's certainly worth considering. Since nothing new to review came today, I'm going to have all weekend free, so I'll likely watch this at some point this weekend.

Yes, it is too big. Yes, this is a complaint. :) I am in Cinemascope.

Never thought I'd ever say "it is too big" ::)

Before I left for the grocery store, I watched some BONES episodes from season three including the one that introduced Sully to Temperence and the wonderful one with the old priest and younger priest at odds with one another over how the parish was being run.

I also watched a BONES episode while I ate lunch, the one that introduced Stephen Fry as Booth's psychiatrist. I also watched one where Booth gets abducted and it takes Tempi
s father (played by Ryan O'Neal) to help her rescue him.

I spent most of the afternoon watching M*A*S*H. I hadn't watched the movie in a long, long time, so it was good to see it again.

The Blu-ray can't sharpen when was always a soft, diffused picture, but it's certainly the cleanest I've ever seen the movie look on home video.

I love the movie but I've never been able to think of it as perfect. The Tokyo sequence and the football game near the end just seem like they don't quite fit with the rest of the movie. The rest is really great and at the time was very innovative (Altman did many later movies in the same style so it seems very familiar now)

I watched some of the bonus features, but I still have some more to do. There was a 40-minute making-of feature that was pretty exhaustive and the 24 minute AMC Backstory that was a condensed version of the longer piece.

In a word - no.

I didn't have Cinemascope, but I have a widescreen monitor so that may explain why I didn't.

Hmmmm....Unfortunatelty Dan-the-Man quoted Jane's post on Page three, so it is still in Cinemascope.
