I was frustrated by the twitting tweeting, too, but I was able to record the extended "director's cut" pilot.  Anyone want a copy??

A bunch of people were frustrated by the "Tweet-peat" screen format.  Actually, the fans of "Fringe", which also broadcast a "tweet-peat" last week, were particularly turned off by the venture.

*However, since it was a "tweet-peat" - a repeat of the show, well... But I can totally understand the frustration if that was your first time viewing either show last week.

I think that most people watching on Friday would have been crazy fans of the show viewing it as a repeat.

I think that it was something they wanted to try (having the cast do living tweeting).

I guess i feel bad for those who recorded the show on friday. But it's not like it wasn't announced that they were tweeting. And the regular version was on 2 days before.

I watched some of the tweet show to see what the cast was saying. But i had already seen the show earlier in the week.

DR George, Keith said yes thank you.  He will be glad to give GLEE a try.  There was NO WAY he would watch the annoying Twitter episode.

Great!  You're on the list. :)

Thank you for the offer/offers DR George.  I'll ask Keith when he comes inside.  If he won't watch now I'll probably pass.  I rarely watch something without him anymore.  It is a nice change from when he was rarely home & I watched just about everything without him.

I wrote my post before reading this (i was still on page 4).

I think it's nice to watch together. But sometimes a show will appeal to one person and not the other!

DR Jennifer, yes it was the Pilot Twitter episode & it gave me a headache.  I did not complain when Keith couldn't take it anymore.  We saved the premier episode from last night.

Sometimes it is inconvenient compromising on what we watch.  I nixed the Sopranos & Keith nixed Boston Legal, until we watched to catch a guest star & decided he did like it.  If it is a movie I want to finish & he doesn't I'll finish watching it at a later time.  With tv series I've decided why get too involved if I know he won't watch it.

Jennifer at what point did they announce they were twitting?  Certainly not before I recorded.  We didn't see anything about it until it suddenly began twitting.

The meeting with the Rockefeller Foundation was very successful. They were impressed and we did a good job if I do say so myself. I like to think that every one of these that I do cements my position in this time of transition. We don't have a date yet but in a few weeks we will be doing the same presenation to the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. It will probably happen after the big housecleaning (at the office) so I may be safe for a while.

For a while, Middletown had a professional company, The Sorg Opera, but, alas, could not sustain it.  People from Dayton and Cincinnati appreciated their work, but locals did not.  We saw them do several Gilbert and Sullivans, Madame Butterfly, The Marriage of Figaro,, and a concert version of Aida.

Hopefully the concert version was of Verdi's AIDA, and not Elton John's.

I think "The Vampire Diaries" will be a hoot.  I'm looking forward to it.  There's certainly nothing else vying for my attention.

Dear BK:

What is a "scratch vocal?"

Was the tweeting worse than closed-captioning?

Far worse and the twittering was in boxes with colored lettering.  It was like those annoying commercials that go across the screen (have you seen them?), only much larger & took up about 25% of the screen.  It was not about watching the program, it was about Twitter.

A scratch vocal is done at the time that the band records - that session is really to get the band right, not the vocals.  Sometimes you get lucky and there are scratch vocals that end up being used, either in pieces or whole, but the final vocal days are to get everything exactly as we want it.

We are back from a wonderful belated birthday dinner for DS Rob at Montgomery Inn.  As soon as Bones is over, I must make blueberry muffins for tomorrow morning.  It's Rob's first first day of school this fall - he's starting EMT certification classes at Sinclair Community College in Dayton (on 9/11 - how appropriate).  His second first day of school will be in 2 weeks when his classes start at Univ. of Cincinnati.  I'll make another batch of blueberry muffins for that morning, too.

I've been making first-day-of-school blueberry muffins since he was in pre-school.  Why stop now?

The vet wanted Callie to spend the night (Poor things had 2 enemas today), but I knew that she would be miserable in a cage with a howling cat a couple cages over(It was really howling - I visited her before deciding if I'd leave her all night) so I busted her out of the joint.....ok, I told the vet I was taking her home and paid for his services. If she's not better tomorrow I'll take her back, but she is SOOOO glad to be home.
