Callie was hissing and swatting at both the vet tech and me!   I opened the cage and put her carrier in, she walked right in and calmed down right away.  She purred all the way home.  When we got home, Boo was crying and crying.  She was very glad to see Cal when I opened the door.  They have been hanging out together ever since

We are back from a wonderful belated birthday dinner for DS Rob at Montgomery Inn.  As soon as Bones is over, I must make blueberry muffins for tomorrow morning.  It's Rob's first first day of school this fall - he's starting EMT certification classes at Sinclair Community College in Dayton (on 9/11 - how appropriate).  His second first day of school will be in 2 weeks when his classes start at Univ. of Cincinnati.  I'll make another batch of blueberry muffins for that morning, too.

I've been making first-day-of-school blueberry muffins since he was in pre-school.  Why stop now?

Yum!  I love blueberry muffins. DS Rob is a lucky guy

Don't get too excited, DR Cillaliz - they're from a mix.

They'll be jealous of each other in no time flat, but it's nice to see them happy together for the moment

Poor Callie. I hope she is better by morning.

I don't envy you about the litter box, though.

Well, if it's just in the litter box, I'll be very happy

Callie is acting like she's feeling better.  The Doc told me not to give her her meds tonight, so she's going to be even more happy.  I'll check the boxes soon to see if there are any presents for me

I've been using the same blueberry muffin mix for years and tonight discovered that they're now whole grain:

Duncan Hines Blueberry Struesel Muffin Mix

I follow the "No Cholesterol" directions.

T.O.D.

First opera I saw was probably AMAHL AND THE NIGHT VISITORS.

Favorite opera, probably because I was in the opera and we studied it a great deal; but musically my favorite is CARMEN.

DR Cilla are you expecting "presents" from Callie tonight or should she be cleaned out for the day?

Jennifer at what point did they announce they were twitting?  Certainly not before I recorded.  We didn't see anything about it until it suddenly began twitting.

They were always planning to air the pilot on wed and the tweeting version on friday. I know it was posted here and i'd read about it elsewhere.

Favorite opera, probably because I was in the opera and we studied it a great deal; but musically my favorite is CARMEN.

The only opera that I've performed in (and my very first theatrical experience) was in a production of "Carmen" at Western Washington University in 1987.  It was a lot of fun (even though the director yelled at everyone and we had to sight read the score without marking from the very first rehearsal) and set me on a path of community theater performing. :)

I love blueberry muffins and have a very good recipe i've been using for a long time.

I actually have to make some on saturday. Because on sunday is my niece's 4th birthday party. She is having her whole class at a kid's indoor playpark.

She didn't do her thing, which is why they wanted her to stay.

I'm (finally) listening to "The Night They Raided Minsky's" and the song "You Rat You" sounded VERY familiar!  I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but it hit me that part of the tune was reused by Charles Strouse to become "Something Was Missing" from Annie! :-X

Interesting.

And now, I'm off.  I have an errand to run, then some TV watching to do.

Until later!

I read the pilot would be on, set it to record and then skipped all the other comments about it. ;D  Honestly I thought I had set the director's cut to record.

Today was the first day back to work. The first 4 hours were okay, but then the pains return and it hurt so much that it made me cry and I had to go home. I lay down and went to sleep for a couple of hours. Resting has helped, but I don't think I am going to be able to do full days. I am going to have to find a MD doctor of some kind to check to see i it could be something else. My GP did not find anything and there was no blood clots. But there is still the pain after being on my feet for so long. I am going to have to see what kind of specialist I should go see.
