As for Twitter and "Fringe" and "Glee"....

As DR Jennifer already mentioned, the "tweet-peats" were previously mentioned when they were first announced here on HHW. -And I was not the one who posted that news.

The pilot for "Glee" originally aired back in May, then the director's cut was shown last Wednesday, then the "tweet-peat" last Friday. -And I believe there were already a few DRs who had talked about the show after it originally aired back in May, myself included.

I actually didn't think the "tweet-peat" really worked all that well either. There was some speculation - hope? - that Fox would change the format of the tweet-peat after the negative reactions they received after the "Fringe" tweet-peat. -And, in fact, due to technical difficulties, the tweeting started late during "Glee", and actually had to catch up for a bit once it did get started.

However, it was fun getting to "see" some of the commentary from the actors. -And it should be noted that a different set of actors tweeted during the West Coast feed.

It was a promotional gimmick, and for a good portion of their viewing audience it did work, even if it was not an ideal presentation. *And there were a bunch of tweets from the cast that did not make the TV feed, and it was fun following those live on the web.

DR Jane - Why not give "Glee" a chance on the web. Just watch the first segment. If you like it, stop it, get Keith to sit nice and close to you, and start it over.

I think the tweeting would bother me, too. I didn't watch that one, but it sounds distracting. I think it would be better to keep the tweeting on the web so the people who don't like tweets can still enjoy the show and the tweeters on twitter can tweet and twit away

Hello - I have just gotten home a short time ago =

I woke up at 6 showered dressed made breakfast did a load of laundry -drove the Vixter to school, did some grocery shopping came home and out he groceries away , went clothes shopping ( I needed a pair of pants)and got to work by 8:30

After a full day of work I met some friends for dinner - we had a wonderful time but I was out much toolate and I am falling alseep

I shall attempt to catch up before I sign off

Well... Again... Both airings of "Fringe" and "Glee" were advertised as "Twitter-Enhanced", so... -Sometimes it pays not to fast-forward through the commercials.

However, I did find it a little strange that Fox chose to tweet during Fringe, but I guess the show has quite a Twitter following. "Glee", I thought, was more of a perfect fit for the experiment - even if the actual execution didn't really succeed.

DR JMK - Twitter is set up like Facebook. Well, sort of. You can view a person's "Profile", their "Timeline", tweets, but you can only see the "comments" from people with whom you Follow/Following. -If that makes sense. -And it probably doesn't.

The tweet-peats also allowed viewers to ask questions of the cast and crew during the broadcast, and get responses from them (during the broadcast).

Well... Make sure that if you happen to catch a repeat of a show to check if it's going to be a tweet-peat instead.

*However, I guess it's good news for Fox that there were a good number of first-time viewers for both "Fringe" and "Glee" during the tweet-peats.

It was just an experiment, and, as of right now, there are no plans to repeat said experiment.

*However, it looks like some of the cast members of both shows will be tweeting throughout the season.

I don't think I have ever seenan opera - I am a fan of Gilbert & Sullivan Operetta however - I am not sure if my favorite is Pirates of Penzance or The Mikado - I love them both

The tweeting did occur online. As I sort of previously mentioned, only a relative handful of tweets made it to the TV screen.

*If they had put all the tweets on the screen, that would have been one mighty fast scroll.

thanks for all the vibes for Callie. I'm sure she'll be ok. The vet said it was amazing with her condition that she made it 2 years between episodes like this. He thinks she's going to be fine

I have to get the car in for a oil change at 8:00 AM, so I need to sign off and get some sleep. They always have coffee and rolls at the dealership, so it's sort of like eat breakfast and your car is ready. I like that
