Well, you've read the notes, the notes were done in one take, and now it is time for you to post until the one-take cows come home.

I did not know that, Der Brucer!

Of course, I don't know what either word means (I haven't taken the time to look them up). ;)

Yesterday, I went to my parents' to visit my cousin and his wife, who are visiting from Oregon.  We played a game my parents learned (and I learned it last weekend) called Pay Me.  It would take too long to try and explain it in a post, but it was pretty fun.  It's sort of like a combination of gin rummy and Phase 10, but you need 11 nickels and a dime for each person.  Anyway, a good time was had by all.

After I left my parents' house, I went to Fred Meyer to look at electric toothbrushes.  I have one, but the metal bar that the removable toothbrush head attaches to is all rusty. :P Costo had a two-pack for $80! :o That's too, too much!  Fred Meyer had three different single-pack versions of what I currently have for only $21....AND I had a Rewards coupon and saved $2.  Good enough for me, so I bought it.  It's now charging up for use in the morning.

And finally...When I went out to my car (after paying for my purchase), I saw something in the otherwise empty parking spot in front of me.  I actually walked over to it and it was a cell phone!  I opened it up and there's a very cute picture of a dog with the caption "Nat You Rock!"  I didn't want to go all the way back into Fred Meyer to the other side of the store at that hour (and what if the owner calls and the customer service reps don't hear it), so I took the phone.  I figure that it was too late for me to call any of the dozens of numbers programmed into the phone...and where would I start??  So I'll just wait to see if they call their phone.  If they don't call early today (Saturday), I will call the work number that I eventually found and leave a message...or I might actually be able to talk to the owner.  They might not even know that it was left in the Fred Meyer parking lot.  I called my phone from this phone, so I know what their number is.  We'll just see when/if they call. :)

Hopefully the owner(s) won't call after I've fallen asleep, but before I wake up, when I want to. :-\

DR DAW posted a link to youtube video yesterday

It turned out to be a fun video of The Brady Bunch singing. I saw a link to two other videos. The first one was okay, but the second was for the song Time To Change. The poster began the video with such an offensive remark

Unfortunately It Was Only Robert Reed Who Died Of AIDS

For the first time on Youtube I flagged a video and complained about it.

I would like to see it off you tube. What it is sad is that people agreed with the comment and other posters were oblivious to it. (I know others will say that he has the right to say what he wants to say, but I also have the right to see it removed)

If you find it as offensive and insensitive as I do and you would like to complain to youtube by flagging it I will post the link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iV4hdjXJ2cw&feature=related

It is so sad that people still make jokes about AIDS. I would never wish it on everyone. I have known several people who died from complications due to AIDS. I still remember them.

Thank you for letting me vent.

God there is so many artists out there. Both known and unknown.

Our family has owned an art gallery for over 30 years and I have had the pleasure to see many great artist pass through our gallery. Many who have gone on to great fame in Canada and elsewhere.

I have been honored to have had two pieces of art to be made specially for me. One for my 13th birthday by Norman Laliberte and one for my 50th by Leonardo Creo.

Good morning, all! I didn't go down to Toyland yesterday because I was hoping George would show up, I'd help him with the shelves and we'd finish the job. Well, no such luck. I do have things to accomplish today, so off to work.

I'm happy to hear of the recording's easy breezy roundup yesterday, and I cannot wait to hear it.

DR PennyO, I'm sorry I missed you last night. I loved the photos! You look fantastic.

Last week or so DR ELMORE mentioned a biography of Frederick Ashton titled SECRET MUSES.....I bought it on Amazon Marketplace along with another book by the same author, a biography of Nureyev.

The Ashton book mentioned a friend of his, painter Edward Burra.  His paintings are most interesting.

I like many artists and paintings....but I will introduce HHW to Mr Edward Burra - or reintroduce him if you know him.....

Last night included one of those horrible moments.....that happen onstage.....

Mortimer and I are onstage with our Aunts - the Brewster sisters.  I give the cue line - and Officer O'Hara knocks on the door to start the next sequence.

Cue line.  No Knock.   You wait those few seconds for it - and then realize that the idiot has NO idea that he is supposed to be on.  You wait a few seconds more and you realize that your idiot stage manager is not on book or paying any attention, but is instead sitting at her laptop playing a game - as she has been all night - and that the rest of the cast is watching on the monitor and wondering why no one is talking.

We ad libbed a bit - I could NOT leave the stage.  And then Martha grabbed the hats from the table and said something about taking them into the kitchen - hopefully to find the fool.

An eternity later, dumb ass came in.....that kind of thing just takes my energy and really is hard for me to recover from.  We did....but we lost the audience.....who knew SOMETHING was wrong....oh well.....

Last night, DR George wrote:

"That's sort of good news!  I work with a couple of people who had the lasik eye surgery and one who had the radial keratotomy and all three had to have reading glasses after the surgery!  So, I don't think that it's that unusual. "

Which is the very reason I never went through with lasik surgery. The whole point would be to correct my eyes so glasses wouldn't be needed. To end up even with reading glasses seems pointless to me. I have that with contacts now.
