The streets of Studio City are a bloody mess because they've got construction machinery blocking two lanes at Ventura and Coldwater Canyon. It shouldn't really be causing as much havoc as it is, but then again, the drivers of Studio City are amongst the stupidest anywhere. Moorpark is also a mess, because so many of said stupid drivers are going up there to avoid the problems at Coldwater and Ventura, which means they've caused just as many problems at Moorpark and Coldwater. I figured it out right away and just diverted myself to Riverside, which was just peachy.

I have been at camp all day. Sandra has been doing kitten duty. Everyone is still alive. I just took three of them into the bathroom while I showered let them get some steam to help their breathing. The other two are locked in a carrier with their inattentive mother so they can nurse on her.

The trouble with very tiny kittens is that they can get sick so easily. I am hoping they all live.

Did you mention the shower on Facebook? I thought I read it, and then couldn't find any mention of it. I know a few of my Facebook friends have been complaining it has been a bit screwy.

I've dealt with bad respiratory infections & it can be very scary. I hope they are alright, for your sake as much as theirs.

My dinner has stretched into almost 90 minutes thanks to a call from a windbag who won't shut the hell up about his own importance. Oy! I wll be glad when this Sept 18 event is over because I'm getting calls about "I could speak at the memorial service" and my attitude is, if you did, you could never honor the 5-minute time limit and we'd be into overtime for hours.

On a happier note, I just got this picture of me and Cassandra Kubinski, one of the leads in CLEAR BLUE TUESDAY, after the first performance. I hadn't seen Cassie in 11 years; she played the title character in the Schmidt-Jones musical MIRETTE at Goodspeed. I think she was around 12 or 13 then.
