Thank you, DRs Ginny and Jane! I'm happy that Cassie and i have become reacquainted. She had to learn to walk on a tightrope for MIRETTE and walk across a narrow parapet about 20 feet above the audience. She's very brave.

20 feet?  How tall is that guy in the photo?

Healing vibes to Callie and the kittens.

Callie thanks you.  The vet gave me two options this morning, another enema or just trying her normal meds for the weekend and see if she's better.   She's eating and drinking water and not getting sick, so we opted for the second option.  She's in good spirits.  I think she'll be ok

I hope Callie's meds kick in soon.  I hate making decisions like that when the vet is closed the next day, even knowing it should be ok.

I think we're making a little progress.  Very little, but it's a start.  If she was at the vet she'd be in a cage most of the weekend with no one around except to check in on her.  She's better off at home.

For some reason I didn't  watch The Closer this summer, but I did record all the episodes. So I'm going to do a marathon and start watching them now

Definitely better at home.  I was thinking, quick enema and back home.  I've did that with Bogie a couple of times.  Of course you don't want to do an enema if it can be avoided.

At the football game Rob and Mary Linda are attending, UC is ahead by 53 points early in the third quarter.  Richard hopes the third string players are in the game and I hope Rob and ML have the sense to come home.

The restaurant where I was just at - where SETC had their "Fall dinner" - had all their TVs turned to the college football games.  I don't think I've ever heard so many different "reactions" going on at the same time. It seemed that each table was watching a different game, and rooting for different teams.

I didn't get to watch THE VAMPIRE DIARIES yet to know if i like it or not.

I spent all night making muffins for my niece's birthday party tomorrow. I am tired. I have to leave for the party at 9am!

My sister wanted the little muffins for the kids. I'm not that crazy about them because they bake so fast that they do not get brown enough (for me) on top.

I like the artwork of Basil Gogos:

That really is an amazing likeness of Miss Channing.

Back from the world's longest gig.  I don't think I've ever had to play that long before (though of course I did take breaks).  Sweet little store in Wilsonville's Old Town.  The owner ended up not only paying quite well, but she bestowed on me a huge amount of merchandise, everything from some lovely clothes for Betsy to games for the kids to some really cool silk ties for me.

Finishing the last of the Nikkatsu noirs, then I may take a drive - or, I may not.

Had such a leisurely evening with my viewing choices. I did a complete revisit on favorite film and TV episodes.

I began with another NCIS episode that featured Charles Durning as a Medal of Honor winner who was turning himself in for commiting murder back on Iwo Jima. A really wonderful episode as they piece together his story to see if they can keep him from having his medal stripped. Durning gives a really touching performance.

Then I took off the HD-DVD shelf FORBIDDEN PLANET and enjoyed watching it all over again. It's a very solid high definition picture with EastmanColor looking about as good as it can look.

And then I took off the shelf Season 5 of J.A.G. which I reviewed quite a long time ago. I picked an episode at random, and it turned out to be one where a female sailor decided in the middle of her watch that the Navy wasn't for her and walked off her post and off the ship.

I remembered one particular J.A.G. episode from that season and spent the rest of my time trying to find it in the box set. Finally found it on disc 6 which I'll likely watch tomorrow when I have more time.

I also want to watch THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (1951 version) on Blu-ray tomorrow and will likely get another movie, another CASTLE episode, and another NCIS episode squeezed in tomorrow before the season finale of TRUE BLOOD.
