Presumably your library branch [or system] purchased multiple copies. Just curious on the turnaround time. When might the first people on the waiting list be able to check out a copy and start reading? We got our actual regular print books (35 copies, 449 holds!), large print books (7 copies) and talking books on CD (6 copies) late last week. They were processed and ready to go out by today. HOWEVER, last Friday, the holds lists for the LP and the TB formats were merged into one list! BIG MISTAKE!! There is no way to tell which format originally had which names.Wow! That Dan Brown is famous. I had no idea that they ever released books on LP in this day and age.

The roofers were done right around 2:10, so I am thrilled beyond belief to have one part of my home renovation completed. I'll have to wait until next month to do anything else. Not a dime to my name for the rest of this month, I'm afraid. (Well, thankfully, some stock dividends pay out this month, and that's my spending money). They did a wonderful job, and were really hard workers. They didn't even stop for lunch. Worked right through from 9:20 until 2.Not one word on whether either one was cute?

I'm very logey right now.
I'm sure most of you have heard of the 70th Anniversary release of Wizard of Oz. There is a one-night showing of the restored film at 400 theatres around the country on September 23 at 7pm. We have known about it for a while but tonight Anthony thought he might want to see it. We found the list of theatres and there is not one in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island. There are 4 on Long Island and 2 or 3 in the Bronx but to our suprise every single theatre is sold out and has been sold out since the event was announced over two weeks ago! We are very surprised. I never thought that every single theatre on Long Island and in the Bronx would be full. Oh, well. Anthony won't be seeing the movie. I couldn't go anyway because I'm seeing Wishful Drinking that night.
Well tomorrow I have an appointment to see a vascular surgeon and Tuesday I have an appointment with an orthopedist. I hope between the two of them a solution will be found for my constant pain. I see how people can get hooked on pain killers if they have to live with this day in and day out. I am not taking anything for the pain but just resting which seems to alleviate the discomfort.
