I saw this story on WalletPop and I thought that DR Laura and maybe a few others would enjoy "The Carpets of Las Vegas."

Lawsy, I just noticed it's Rosh Hashanah on Friday-Saturday.

Proof yet again that no one reads my posts.         ;)

I am an art idiot, but even I know that the photo from the Paris casino is Monet, not "Van Gogh blobs."

I've been up since eight-fifteen printing orders - and a lot of them to print, and Taras Bulba is sold out - the site will reflect its status at nine-fifteen.  Will answer any questions posed later.

I am at Toyland. I just arrived from an especially peculiar visit to the Staples on 81st and Broadway; whenever I stop in there, my rating drops another percentage over the lazy and/or misinformed/uninformed employees. I had to buy a lot of CD cases and I got to the register where one employee was helping a customer at one register, another clerk was writing something into a notebook. and the other two stood there and chatted. As I waited, the employee at the register with the customer took the customer to a computer and I continued to stand there. I finally said "this is ridiculous," and the young lady chatting to the gentleman said, "are you waiting?" I wanted to answer, no, I like standing in front of an empty register with my arms full of items as an exercise for the biceps, but I just said yes. Before the sale was finished, the clerk had spilled a cup of coffee all over the shopping bags, sent a pil,e of papers flying, and had no change to giver my requested cash back. I now discover she didn't give me my receipt. Idiots. I hate Staples and the mismanagement of my neighborhood store is pathetic.

DR MATTH - I wish I enjoyed walking around my neighborhood as much as I enjoy walking on my air walker.  Too many dogs and kids.

This life does not feel victimized in the least; only aggravated by morons in charge.

The time at Toyland has whizzed by, and I must leave shortly for my trek to MacDougal Street and THE ROAD TO
QATAR. It will be nice to see Messrs Stephen Cole and David Krane. Their show is very funny.
