DRs JRand & td, thank you for the vibes.  He had a phone interview he felt went well, and is on the first short list.  He will be informed if he is on the 2nd & final short list next week.  FINGERS CROSSED.  It would be nice if he not only got a job, if said job arrived in time for his 30th birthday.

Back from the laying of the tracks - a little slower than it should have been, but everything is done.  I made some arrangement adjustments to a few of the numbers.  After that, I had lunch at Islands and ate a LOT of fries.

Time to watch Robert Altman's NASHVILLE again, I just read that Henry Gibson has passed away.

ASK BK

I hope this is not too convoluted.

When searching cast recordings for possible reissues and looking at labels that may have produced a handful of recordings (Like Roulette's Show Girl, Mercury's All In Love,  Mio International's Colette, Project 3's Minnie's Boys, Cry For Us All) or self produced (Angel by Gary Geld/Peter Udell) or labels that have been absorbed by other labels (MGM's Cradle Will Rock, ABC-Paramont's Cindy)

I wonder if this is the procedure that you go through.

Will there be enough interest in the title (How do you decide yea or nay. What are your parameters?}

and

1) Which label now owns the rights
2) If the rights are available
3) Are the masters available
4) Quality of said masters

Anything left out?

Just curious about the process you go through in deciding what you will release.

That's about it.  I've been wrong on a couple of titles in terms of how I thought they'd do, most specifically House Of Flowers and Show Girl - both broke even but made almost no profit whatsoever.

Mr. BIG would be an excellent guess.  And in honor of that guess, I just spoke with him - we'll be having dinner next week at some point.

Well... I just checked the DVR, and due to everything else being recorded tonight, it looks like I'm going to have to wait until the wee hours of the morning tomorrow night to view tonight's "Live from Lincoln Center" - at least the first half.

Just thought you'd like to know that.

That is all.

I didn't cry through all of TAKING WOODSTOCK this time, only through the final scene between Eliot and his father. I think I also enjoyed the fim more this time around.

On a bad side, I got home and the bookcases are not finished, which pisses me off because it was my impression from George that he would finish today. If he doesn't show up till 1:00 pm tomorrow, then my day's wasted, I cannot get to my suit to try it on and the clutter, with his things here, is worse now. I am not happy about this.

Lawsy, I just noticed it's Rosh Hashanah on Friday-Saturday.

Proof yet again that no one reads my posts.         ;)

Isn't Rosh Hashanah coming up soon?

Oh, we love this director MUCH more than Alfred E. Green AND Alfred E. Neumann put together.

I sure hope so.

The four remaining kittens continue to hang on. They all bottle feed pretty well. The pastor's wife is a nurse, and she has come over a couple of times to administer fluids (I can't stick those babies with a needle). It will just take some time to recover now. Thanks for asking.

Continued kitty vibes for DR Laura and DR Cilla.

Thanks Ginny, yes and no.  I ended up hiring the guys working on trimming the trees across the street to cut down one of my maple trees that the ants have killed.   Now I have to do something to kill the ants.

It was nice to be at home with the girls. I curled up in my chair and watched Fried Green Tomatoes and dozed off a little.  I think that was from the allergy pills I took after being stung by something out in the yard.

Thanks TCB.  I think she's doing better.  I won't know for sure until she really starts eating again

DOCTOR UPDATE

Going to have to go for another test next week, but the doctor thinks there is a vein problem. Will get compression stocking to help out but there is also laser surgery to repair the problem vein. So this answers the leg problem. Next week back and neck.
