DID ANYONE SEE THE HD "BROADCAST" OF THE WIZARD OF OZ TONIGHT?
IF SO WHAT DID YOU THINK?

It was great!  All cleaned up and the theater was practically full!  I got there at about 6:20 and there were maybe a couple dozen people in the theater at that time, but by the time it started at 7:00, it was almost full.  Robert Osborne did an introduction and then there was a not-new documentary on the making of the movie, hosted by Angela Lansbury...she was much younger than she is now.  People really enjoyed it.  There was applause at the end.  The picture so clean.  There was only one time that I saw something on the screen (a thread or something at the bottom of the frame for quite a few seconds).

Well, MERCY brought nothing new to the table, and what is brought was just so-so.

EASTWICK shows promise

der Brucer

George - did you spot Kyle X/Y in the opening scene of EASTWICK?

I didn't watch or record it.  I went to see "The Wizard of Oz" and didn't record it. :-\

Finally back from the reading of the long musical, which was indeed, as I suspected, long - the creators were mortified, as I knew they would be.  I'll  have a full report in the notes - after, we went to a local coffee shop to wind down, so I'm just home and just starting the notes - when they're posted I'll put up the pre-announcement for the new Kritzerland release.
