Good deed for the day - check.

Zach and I were able to reunite a stray dog in the neighborhood with its owner.            :D

I'm expecting my Blu-ray "The Wizard of Oz" box today from UPS...so I checked the tracking information and THIS is what greeted me:

OAKLAND, CA, US  09/29/2009 8:10 A.M. THE ADDRESS LABEL IS MISSING
OR ILLEGIBLE / THE ADDRESS HAS BEEN CORRECTED. THE DELIVERY HAS
BEEN RESCHEDULED

What that means is that my lot in life has DECIDEDLY not changed.  Anything I look forward to with great excitement ALWAYS gets hosed by UPS.

Our handyman, Sammy, and his assistant for the day, Ray, knocked on the door at 8:30, and Ray started getting ready for today's paint job.  Sammy said he had to head over to another property, but would be back in an hour.  Well, almost four hours later...  However...

Ray has been doing a great job! He just left for his lunch break, but he's already applied one coat all around, and a second coat to half of the room - including the ceiling. Once he gets back from lunch, he'll finish up the main work, and then work on the few bits of exposed wall in the kitchen and the area around the spiral staircase.  It really does look like this will be a "one day job".  YEAH!

*I'll leave it up to DR JMK to insert the applicable joke from The Producers. ;)

Probably not. However, I think they're using "low fume" paint. It's truly not bothering me.  -We also have the windows on the second floor open, and that's probably helping funnel the fumes out.

Laura, Donny and Marie have a new single and it's being played on BBC Radio 2 in a little while. They aren't specific about the time but it's being played on Chris Evan's Drive Time Show. If you see this and want to listen live just click this link.

It seems the jokes in COMMUNITY went over our heads.   We won’t be watching.

To my great disappointment I accidentally recorded CASTLE on the east coast which does not record here.  Sometimes the remote sticks & in my frustration to get it to work made a BIG error.  We were really looking forward to watching it.

I would love to hear Donny sing  Sinatra-style, which seems to be in style now, if I'm not mistaken.
