The girl on NCIS LOS ANGELES is the weak member of the team, acting wise, for my money.  So I don't know if her character is or not.....maybe they don't know how to write for her....but she is certainly no Zima.

She's no Ziva either!  :D

DR Matt H thank you for the heads up on the new shows tonight.

You're welcome. I will be very curious to see how they do in the ratings. The WEdnesday at 8-9 p.m. time period is the one hour during the week that no show has a completely domineering hold over the other programming. BONES used to dominate, but then Fox moved it to Thursdays. I'll be curious to see how things shake out there.

I had time to watch two UNIT episodes before I started fixing lunch. And as it turned out, it was a two part episode. Unfortunately it was a rather silly mission to rescue Dennis Haysbert's daughter (a soldier) after she had been captured and taken to Syria.

One of the show's weaknesses is inconsistency in storytelling. A really riveting mission will be followed by a lame, unbelievable one.

While I ate lunch I watched last night's NCIS: LA. The show is not growing on me. I don't find LL Cool J as ingratiating as any of the characters on NCIS. Neither the M.E. nor the psychologist have the fun and eccentricity of Ducky or Abby. And I'm not digging Linda Hunt much either.

BTW, she played a similar part in one of the UNIT episodes I watched this afternoon. No doubt this gave CBS the idea to plug her into NCIS since she wasn't in the pilot broadcast last year during NCIS.

Oh, spoo! I meant to mention that at least Matt Battaglia was a guest star on NCIS: LA last night. I wish he had had more to do on the episode.

Then, I watched four more UNIT episodes this afternoon making 12 episodes now watched with 10 more to go. I hope to get four more done tonight.

elmore, if you're talking about the Brent recording, Brent and Chris had to clarify how that was all working because it was VERY confusing.  It's cleared up now and we'll be sending a check your way.

Had a nice meeting at LACC.  Then I went to the tape transfer place and heard a little of each of the two scores (on a two-fer) that we'll be doing and I almost began weeping for the beauty that I heard.  Great sound, and unbelievably great music - as I said, one half of this is one of my all-time holy grails, and the other half is jaw-droppingly beautiful.

Then I came home, went to Hugo's where I ate and did some work, and now I am finally done for the day.

I am going to hop off-line now and write a little bit before heading back down to continue with THE UNIT and then later, tonight's episode of GLEE.

You know, I always did go for the "nice boys."

Donny Osmond is not one of the 50-year-olds who drops dead of a drug overdose.

One of those Mormons, ya' know...

Hoo, boy, do you ever have delusions about Mormons.  Take it from an SLC boy.  :)

Actually, I had to spend my paycheck on my upcoming trip to Sacramento.

Is the trip for pleasure or work?

Work, but they don't pay my way.

I thought it was for work.  I'm shocked they don't pay your way.  What if you didn't go?

They pay for the board members to attend the board meetings, but not to attend the conference. If I was named a delegate by my church, my church would pay my way. But as a conference officer, I cannot be a delegate but must attend.

I agree with DR Ginny, THAT STINKS!  How many of these do you attend in a year?

That is good to know. I just don't want to lose my health insurance. And, to continue my banking frustrations, my rent check for September has never arrived, although the two checks I mailed with it have cleared. This is a very frustrating fiscal period!

Well, I thought I was done for the day.  But the phone keeps ringing, and I end up having long conversations with the author of the long musical, so I've just stopped answering - none of those calls for today and tomorrow.  ME time, baby, ME time.  Then I had to package up a few orders.

My question for ASK BK day...

What is your favorite Noel Coward play?  And is there a Noel Coward written role that you would like to play?

Wow, finally, a question.  Private Lives.  I'm not really suited to Noel unless it's The Red Peppers.

They pay my way to the board meetings, but not to the conference.

That's not so bad then.  Do you find the conference beneficial, or at the least enjoy them?
