Laura,  if we were on the same coast, this guy would have a home in an instant!

Will the powers-that-be at least offer him for adoption, vision or no?

der Brucer

He is adorable, DerBrucer. I don't know if he will be considered adoptable. That's why he needs our vibes.

Thanks, DR DAW.

Did DR JMK just say he enjoyed Barbra Streisand's fanny?

Sounds like a beautiful trip, Arnold. I'm sorry you had the medical mishap, but glad it wasn't more serious.

Pome for October:

One night in late October
When I was far from sober.
Returning with my load
With manly pride.

My feet began to stutter
So I lay down in the gutter.
And a pig came up
And lay down by my side.

A woman passing by was heard
to say.
"You can tell a man who boozes
By the company he chooses."
And the pig got up
And slowly
Walked away.

This is so-o-o-o cute:

Grace the Librarian

Her re-purposing of the car and the Virgin Mary statue remind me of the time Rob wanted to be Sherlock Holmes and didn't have a deerstalker hat.  He used 2 baseball caps, one with the bill in the front and one with the bill in the back, to create one.

Very cute :)

Maybe we should try that to make Sherlock a Deerstalker hat.  If only I could sew.

DR MBarnum will be dee-lighted to learn that I have ordered "Attack of the Giant Leeches" for my home video collection and viewing pleasure.

Is that a sequel to "The African Queen"?

DR Jane you mentioned that you thought the movie 17 AGAIN was cute.

I thought it was just okay. I like Zac Efron and Matthew Perry okay. And near the middle it got better. The idea of it was interesting. But I thought the execution was extremely stupid. I guess there are not that many realistic ways to turn into your 17 year old self. But how they did it was so dumb.

Expectations.  I was expecting a horrible movie & pleased to get cute. ;D  The night we watched it I wasn't in the mood for anything more than light entertainment.

Safety pins would work, DR JANE.  Stack the hats and pin in front and back.

Last night's TV:

"The Middle" starring Patricia Heaton.   It certainly doesn't glamourize Indiana, setting the state up as one of those places planes fly over when going from one place to another.  I have a fond place in my heart for Indiana and I found myself rather insulted by the intimations.

It may get much better than last night's show.  Patricia Heaton was a dynamo...but I honestly can't think where this show might go for humor.

And even though I lived in Indiana for five years, I had no idea that "Show Choirs" were THE THING after high school basketball.

Mid way through the show I was asking Keith to turn it off, why he didn't is beyond me.  This is the guy who turns things off 3 minutes after they begin.  He turned it off just before getting into her hero costume so I don't know how it ended/began.   I will wait to hear if the show improves before watching again.

I need children's hats to fit his head.  Thing is, I want a real Deerstalker hat, fabric and all.

Good Morning! Good Afternoon!

I'm up, I'm up... And the living room is still in an organized state of disarray. But that's OK. Really, it is. :)

DR ArnoldMBrockman, your trip sounds fantastic.  Thank goodness you found a doctor to give you a temporary fix on your problem.  Best of vibes when you have the surgery.

We missed the entrance time for the synagogue in Budapest by minutes.  I was very, very disappointed.

TOD - Barbra's were some of the first albums I bought, as her early ones were being released about the time I bought my first stereo record player.  I like those way more that the recent ones, especially My Name is Barbra, Two, which contains one of my favorite tracks, "Where's That Rainbow?"  I also like her version of "Hurry, It's Lovely Up Here" from On a Clear Day...

Come give at leasta
Preview of Easta

I love her version of that song, too.

I've been to Prague and it is such a beautiful City.

Sorry to hear about the medical issues.

MattH, the Judgment transfer looked terrific, as did the other Kramer HD movie, Inherit The Wind.  That they're just sitting on these and not releasing them to either DVD (anamorphic) or Blu-Ray, is just ridiculous.

I slept till nine, so that was nice.  I awoke to an oaf saying "Just make a copy of the yellow police report."  Wonder what that means.

Do you guys all know about this?

www.freenightoftheater.net

It's free tickets to shows on various dates in October - in regions throughout the country.
The site seems to have crashed at the moment - today is the first day to order - but I'm sure they'll have it up and running in a little while if you want to keep checking in.
