I was thinking my category would be "Retired people who are trying to figure out what to do next with their lives."

Wait for grandchildren!

Um, I was thinking along the lines of something income-producing...

I just won a book from Merkin Concert Hall by being the first to post on Facebook:  Girls like Us: Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon - and the Journey of a Generation.

Back from a two-mile jog.  There's an open house sign next door (and everywhere else in the neighborhood), but all I see are the usual oafs going in and out of their usual trucks which are, as usual, taking up the usual parking spaces.

Coolio!  -I won a CD from Naxos earlier this week via Twitter.

Hmmm... I wonder if Kritzerland could start giving away a CD or two on/via Twitter?

Shall now do three or four errands, after which I'll eat and then finesse the liner notes and send them off.

-And he, Halderman, also used to live with one of Letterman's assistant, Stephanie Burkitt, who used to get a lot of camera time.  -The plot thickens.  Or not.

Indeed it thickens:

Woman in Letterman Case Lived with Suspect
Posted Oct 2nd 2009 8:48AM by TMZ Staff

One of the women at the center of the David Letterman alleged extortion case is Stephanie Birkitt, his former assistant -- according to the search warrant obtained by FOX 5 New York. And, the warrant says, Birkitt was the suspect's girlfriend and we've learned she was living with him until recently.

According to the warrant, the suspect, "48 Hours" producer Robert "Joe" Halderman, sent Letterman a package which allegedly included treatments for a screenplay with supporting materials.

The warrant goes on to say the "supporting materials" included copies of parts of a diary and correspondence belonging to Birkitt.

Halderman allegedly sent more documents, including letters, emails and photos.

On September 23, Halderman allegedly told undercover cops he wouldn't make the diary public if Letterman anted up $2 million.

Reading DR elmore3003's post this morning, a phrase from the Yom Kippur prayer book came to mind; the one about the "alphabet of woe."

Hope things improve for you today, my friend!!!

I would say the Jane was on pins and needles waiting for word about Craig's job offer...

but she doesn't sew.

I am, big time, if I sew or not.  I do mend clothes, socks & dog toys on a semi regular basis.  :)

I hope DR Jane and DS Craig have better news today than I had.  A really great long-term part-time job for me that was in the works just fell through...       :(

I'm sorry, and rather surprised.  A perfect example how well qualified people, those under normal circumstances who would have multiple job offers, are struggling.

I don't think anyone is surprised about Letterman, and I don't think anyone really cares.

That's about it. ;D  I do respect his putting a stop to blackmail.

DAW, I really and honestly think you should try to find out who does research for that Tosh show on Comedy Central or whatever channel it's on.  Your knack of finding odd things on the internet (present company excluded) is unmatched!

Well, if it were't for your pesky morals you could sell book reports and reserach support for term papers to lazy students.

DR Cilla what happened with the space in the building you coveted?  Never mind, I read why you aren’t taking that one-LOL.

Good luck finding a space you love!

Well, "sea worms" were on the menu at the Chinese place I was at last night.  -And we were one of the few that did not have a dish of them on our table.  I'm sure "sea worms" sound much nicer in Chinese. ;)

Did anyone else order the Ultimate Collector's Edition of WIZARD OF OZ from Amazon?  I sure don't see the four collectible posters anywhere.
